Author Topic: Minecraft Megathread; yeah its update 1.12 big whoop what about it  (Read 6818515 times)

I'm basing my dislike of horses on the basis that they dont fit, their job could be done by an element that has been in the game since beta, and that there are so many other things that could be done that are infinitely better at making the game interesting. Add that to the fact that they are borderline useless and that jeb will probably add some bullstuff like a consumable whip made of hobgoblin foreskins and diamond shards that directs the horse based on which direction you crack it maked the idea even more unnapealing to me.

So you dont like them because of a bunch of "Probably"s and "Maybe"s even thought here is no proof that they will be useless meat sacks that do everything you think they will do?

Fred your argument is worse than "Legitmate Rape"

But wolves and cats do that in real life, what's your point?

I think Fred had a bad experience with Horses and now hes angry that they are being added to minecraft.

You're loving illiterate and/or chose to ignore the part where i said it is a completely useless addition to the game since it has had a paralell since beta, which jeb inexplicably decided to forget up.

Wolves attack you on sight IRL and zombies don't exist. Just because they act like that irl doesn't mean it's fun to discover all the sheep near your home were killed by widely useless wolves.

Horses wouldn't be useless at all, they would be a better way of traveling.

Neither are wolves or cats.

Yes, but why add horses when you could just fix the loving pigs? You don't need a whole new mob for this one, very small job.

Wolves attack everything that hits you without any kind of function to make them stop, they sit but they attack again if they get up, their AI is crap and they'll get you killed while spelunking or climbing by pishing you when teleporting. A wolf's job can be dine more efficiently by using a sword and not being an idiot. Cats sit on beds and chests and just generally act like little stuffs, their job could be acomplished more efficiently by a fence.

Pigs aren't loving broken, tell me one thing that's broken about them.

Riding them is like controlling a fat guy on ice using a large oar. Trying to mavigate a pig into an enclosure is incredibly difficult, and they can't jump. Also, if pig riding wasn't terrible then you wouldn't need the god damn horses.

Guys, right after that tweet, he credited Mo'Creatures developer(s) for helping with it. AKA the functionality won't be vanilla stuff. It was helped by someone experienced in specialized mobs specific to the users wants, someone who has heard complaints about their own riding system and tuned it to be good.

Then again, I will say he didn't specifically say it was the horse, and this could be a massive troll where it's actually like "We're adding back the human mob as an actual NPC" or something. In any case, Dinnerbone says he's working on some interesting feature that can't be expressed in a picture.

If they were %100 responsive it'd be OP, plus jeb wanted realism into the game.

Horses could be a better way of traveling.

Oh christ, the mo' creatures horses are farthest you can get from meshing with the game. I hope there won't be a ton of stuff like hay bales and whips like in mo' creatures.

IT'S loving MINECRAFT, IF JEB WANTS REALISM HE SHOULD GO DEVELOP A SURVIVAL SIM.

You keep saying handicapped stuff like "horses could be better for traveling" when pigs could, but instead he made them stuffty for no good reason.

Says the one who complained about zombies not existing in real life and wolves not attacking you on sight.

And pigs are fine the way they are, I'm just saying horses could be some tier up from them. Stop being so handicapped and getting worked up over a loving game.

Maxwell, you are an idiot. I did not complain about those things, i used them as examples to show why your "they so it IRL" argument was invalid.

Pigs are not fine the way they are, the pigs are stuff. Pigs are unusable. Horses don't need to exist. forget horses, the game is already cluttered with stuff nobody uses.

He better keep the tinted glass. I liked that. And coal blocks from 4 coal, so two coal blocks smelt a stack of items.

If you don't want the game to be real life then why do you want pigs to act better than horses

seriously you're so stupid
