Take note of the wording in that report.

"...reportedly looking to purchase Mojang"

"brown townysts speculate that the deal has to do with..."

"though it's reported that Persson approached Microsoft proposing the sale."
(This one sounds a bit more believable, but I left it in.)


The entirety of this report is speculation, or rumors.

While it is most likely true that Microsoft is going to try and buy out Mojang, this report that was link is worded like he just heard it from some random person, in this case being Reuters.

Just a real annoyance to me, but I'm almost certain I'm the minority.
