Holy stuff just wait and see what happens instead of speculating and only looking at the absolute negatives, most of which wont happen.
If anything, look at any potential positives for once. Thats what i try to do whenever something changes.
These "absolute negatives" are based on preceding instances of corporate acquisition. It most often turns out to be extremely profitable for the purchasing company, and cripplingly dominative of the acquired entity. There are countless instances supporting that this would be a bad thing, and Microsoft doesn't exactly have a stellar background working with a game studio quite like Mojang.
I, personally, would rather anticipate the worst and be pleasantly surprised if things turn out better. If I imagine everything to work out fine, I'm going to be heartily disappointed when the worst comes to fruition. But by all means, you're welcome to feel however you'd like.
yeah it would be good if it didnt consume so much loving ram
You can allocate more ram to Minecraft rather easily, especially since the official launcher added the ability to modify startup conditions. I think it's good that the program doesn't assume and automatically hog TOO MUCH ram. It runs on the bare minimum, and you can setup your profiles to always start with more if you would like to do so. Problem solved.
