Terrafirmacraft is arguably a nice "resourceful" mod - in terms that it's a nice deviation from the standard "chop chop mine mine" sort of thing. But there's so much work to be done to actually make it truly enjoyable - unlike in the default Minecraft where there's reason behind progression, TerraFirmaCraft doesn't really follow the same guidelines, and it's progression is all over the place. Not like it's a bad thing, because you can physically do whatever. But - there isn't any reason beyond any form of progression in TFC, whether you have copper or [x out of tons of ores and alloys tools] tools, it doesn't really feel like making a justifiable difference, given how much of a hassle mining is as well.
TFC is the sort of "awesome stuff" that proves realistic concepts, while in essence bring a new, neat, expansive and immersive form of gameplay, it completely breaks any form of enjoyment with the same gameplay after, I don't know, max 2 hours of gameplay where only then you get your first metal tools, and then you realize there's no point in doing anything else.
