Well the newbies need to learn on their own to a certain extent, hand holding is pretty much impossible with this community.

Basically we want to make sure they don't get flamed, because they didn't know better, and other reasons.

Alright, guys. This is getting...ridiculous.

I'm going to clear up some things here.

1. The avatars were meant to be a friendly reminder, not exactly a "bill board". I assume that all of the ones that say "Be nice or leave/get out/etc." were made JOKINGLY. There were not meant to be serious. It was an attempt to brighten up the situation. It failed.
2. We wanted to initially make this forum a better place, because it was full of unnecessary hatred. People would slip up, and they would be driven to the point of leaving because people don't let up. I learned that from experience.
3. WE ARE NOT ANY BETTER THAN ANYONE ELSE. I cannot stress this enough. I've heard this comment a lot.
4. I know TCBB has some issues, but doesn't every group when it starts out? Nothing is perfect. Get over that. That's what improvement is for, and that's exactly what I'm doing. Trying to make adjustments to make this work.
5. I'm not trying to aggravate anyone, nor am I attempting to start a flame war of any kind. I'm simply not letting up because I'm fighting for something I believe in. Most of us have done it at least once.
6. We're not trying to abolish unkindness. We're only trying to make it a little better here. Almost alll of us were taught manners by our parents or guardians when we were young, right? Let's just try to do that a little bit here as well.

I have a few questions for people as well.

1. Why can't you just be nice?
2. What's wrong with trying to make this place better?
3. Why won't you just accept the fact that we're only trying to do good? We're not doing anything wrong.

I will refer all questions and comments to this thread from now on. I'm sick of flying all over the forums answering the same things over and over. If you have something to say, say it here.

Or you could just hope that people were taught to be nice when they were little by their parents/guardians. I mean really, it's common manners. It can't hurt to exercise that even a little bit, when someone new joins.

EDIT: Either there's a lot of huge text walls coming, nobody can find a logical answer to my questions, people gave up, or they just don't feel like posting. Not sure which.

Okay look.
This is getting stupider by the second. Let me answer a few problems where having.

Avatars:
Our avatars were to try and make this less serious so we'd get wider appeal. Instead, people thought it made themselves somehow better, but thats not what Regulith and us are trying to be.

Popularity:
I think this is what is causing problems, many of the very popular members of the forum have said very mean and rude things. Other people looking to become popular on these forums have taken that as an example and BOOM! Instant popularity by being a bitch. Seriously, being mean isnt going to make you popular, you have to make content that the community will enjoy.

Members:
For the members that are still supporting this, were glad your staying, because that proves that you didn't join this to get popularity with the other members. Those who left, shame on you. You know what this proves about those who left? They were in it for the feeling of being better than others, then, when things got harder, they left.

Newbies:
Come on, you do realize most of the noobs are following YOUR role model? If you constantly cuss them out, they'll follow that model and do the same, seriously, most of these kids are around 8, and just the fact that they can leanr to use blockland and build even the simplest builds; then post them on the forums makes them VERY talented dont you think? So please, when you respond, think about how the player will respond. Remember, he's new and he's just trying to fit in. If you cuss and be mean to him, he decides thats what he should do to fit in, and thats exactly what we dont want right now.

And Regi, sorry if it sounds like I'm trying to act like some sort of co-leader, I'm just voicing my opinion =D

No problem, glad to see there are still people fighting for this. It's ridiculous that there's so many people against something that's only trying to do good.

Here is the view I've gathered of the people that hate us(and what I believe is happening), "We cannot do this in real life, so we can be mean on the internet, no one cares." People need to realize there IS a face behind the avatars, and feelings. Also, I think there is going to be a big post coming our way.
