AoT General / Re: Does this seem ass-backwards to anyone else?

What rocks are you referring to? Are you talking about the jelly rock crabs that drop ore when you kill them? This is a common misunderstanding that has been addressed many times before on the forums. Their rock-like appearance is simply a camouflage mechanism. I believe this was first referenced in 2006 when player DarkLight found a lost game transcript.

As to your first point about dynamite use on trees, you seem to be making some unreasonable assumptions. Consider that the dynamite is placed only at the bottom of the trees. Now, being low grade dynamite that has a small blast radius, one would expect that only the bottom of the tree would be blown out, leaving a portion to be harvested and collected. This is translated quite realistically into the game, as you'll notice you only get a small amount of lumber from each tree rather than a proportional amount to the tree's size.

Finally, swords cannot be used on trees because they only damage enemies (jelly rock crabs, crate monsters, other players, etc). They are not designed to be a harvesting tool, only a means through which one can fend for themselves.

I hope this clears up any confusion. Any comments or concerns can be sent to

...did you seriously quote that 2011 quote?

Yep, he actually did. I did a little detective work and found this: July 09, 2011, 02:21:03 PM. That is taken directly from the time-stamp of the post he quoted. Which would mean he did in fact quote a post from the calendar year of 2011. But I had to be sure. I've heard occasional reports of incorrect time-stamping, so I looked a bit further to find what I could dig up.

Well, that digging led me to this. On the first page, a post by one "adam savage" held the following message: "It stands for Age Of Time" with the time-stamp July 09, 2011, 02:21:03 PM. And get this, "adam savage" is the same person that the message quoted by "manofthefuture" was attributed to. Coincidence? I think not. When I compared that post to the quote that "manofthefuture" made in his post, it is a 100% match, both in poster and in the time that was posted.

I used to play chimes in a local atmospheric funk band. We were called "Electric Watergun." I knocked heads with our lead guitarist who thought my chimes solos were "getting out of control" and wanted to "take the band in another direction." I put away my chimes (and my dreams) that day.

Due to me staying up until 3AM when school ended, I now have a computer usage limit. 2 hours in the morning, 2 hours in the afternoon, and 2 hours in the evening. My mom told me that I'm not old enough to stay up all night. I don't see why not. If we're going somewhere or I have to get up early, then yeah, I'll go to bed on time. If I'm just going to be at home, then why not? I don't get grouchy in the morning. I feel fine. So, is there anything that you guys can think of that would make my mom remove the limit? It's not a program or anything, it's just her telling me I can't use the computer. It's in my room, like the rest of my stuff anyways.

You think that staying up all night at the age of 12 is reasonable, and that spending 1/4 of the day on the computer isn't enough. Get a grip.

It came to me in a frantic dream.

I was in a spacial realm, lying in bed surrounded by the stars themselves. The floor was a green and white checkerboard, no larger than three meters wide. I arose from my bed and yelled out for answers. I was alone, I was lost, I was scared.

A man in a raincoat appeared behind me and put his hand on my shoulder; I was surprised but not afraid. The man said to me with a face still as stone, "Yours is the mighty, yours is the true, take from me mine axe, and you shall know what to do." The axe felt ice-cold to the touch, yet the axehead was scorching in flame. Without another word, the man absorbed into the floor and was gone.

I sat upon the bed where I had awakened. I stole another glance at the mysterious axe in my hand; it felt like it had been there my whole life. I observed that it was made of a metallic alloy, although which one I could not be certain. I thought for a moment, then I said quietly to no one in particular, "Metal Axe, on Fire."

I violently awoke from the stirring dream and knew what I had to do.

Everybody gets all excited when they realize they can openly modify v3. Then they realize they have to manually update it to v29 and they get discouraged and quit. Well, that's not true. First they add a few tiny things that they've always wished were in AoT like pressing the "F" key to make a fart noise, then they quit.

Now me and lub are like butt buddies.

And to think my conspiracy blog was right all along.

STARBOARD TOWN - Metal Axe On Fire, a community favorite and an all-around swell guy, has filled the local shop with overly priced fiber. When asked about this event, Metal Axe responded, "I like-a da feeber." As many readers will know, a fair price for fiber is anywhere between two and five gold per piece. Metal Axe On Fire has jokingly chosen to sell his fiber for an astonishing nine hundred and ninety-nine gold pieces each. I caught up with Metal Axe On Fire and inquired about this strikingly odd price. His only response: "No further questions." More news to come as the story develops.

Lol Metal axe is badspot? :I

No, but good luck convincing German Mushroom otherwise.

Ugh, this never was, or ever will be funny.

I find it ironic that what you said is the makes sense for and dog fried rice tube socks elementary school absent-minded parents and you're just an idiot for even talking to me.
