melatonin never did anything for me personally
got knocked out for the first time in my life this summer and i bit the stuff out of my gums when i hit the floor. the pain was ridiculously annoying for 4 days-- before bed i'd take a swig of whiskey to wash out my mouth and it helped knock me out. not saying a few shots of liquor should become a regular pre-sleep routine, but i never woke up early or groggy because of it
strong painkillers have done the job well too but i don't forget w that
ambient noise (blizzard wind, thunderstorms, tides) and flickering lights (fireplace, candles) have always helped me relax and fall asleep quicker

been studying the basics of stocks and investing in my free time, or more or less adding on to what i learned in high school
quitting my job soon and paying out of pocket for my first 2 years of school (ughhh); i need a career change. giving myself $2k to start investing after i do some more research in my newfound free time-- haven't even looked into crypto currencies but this thread has already helped a bit. obv this won't be my first resource for info but i'll read any and all discussion/advice

i ate there once and that was only bc a girl used me never eating there as an excuse to hang out. the service was aggressively impolite and the food was about on-par with mcdonalds in taste quality, but the unlimited free peanuts were rad

5 and a half hours is my average, same for my dad and grandpa. i feel bad for the people who spend more than 1/3 of their lives asleep

i don't use alarms. my internal clock keeps me from sleeping past 8am even if i go to bed at 4am, and i physically cannot get more than 7 hours of sleep
usually i fall asleep between 11pm-12am and wake up at 5:30am
had actual chronic insomnia when I was like 15-16 for 11 months & i'd only get 0-3 hours of sleep
