i did a lot of research on getting into hema around the start of this year, never actually went through with it tho. bought a new replacement pair of mma gloves instead lol

iirc this one was highly recommended on forums and such as a practical "battle-ready" sword. if u don't like it or want a full-on long sword then that website has a pretty nice selection anyways

edit
weapon seller. i am going into battle and i need only your finest blades.

omf i just remembered what this was from why

my ride quality got really bad on my way up north for thanksgiving, then it randomly went away for the most part. as of last night and this morning, my car shakes like hell above 40 mph, then settles down after some driving for speeds up to 70 but still shakes a lot above 75-80

it could be i didn't tighten the damn wheels enough when i swapped out the summers and all the drifting i did this week made it much worse, or some suspension bits are just completely loving dead, either way i'm not too happy because i hate working on cars in the cold. i did enough of that last year for my friends

also i've got a ticking noise in the engine bay. it could be my jerry-rigged disa fix (which seems most logical) but it sounds more like the valve lifters. to start, i'll just rip off the disa and some belts and see if the noise goes away. i've topped off the oil but i haven't got an actual change in a while - stupid oil filter has been sitting in my garage for months waiting to be put in - if it's the lifters, a good oil change and a couple long drives should fix it for the most part idk i need to do some research

honestly been thinking of selling the ol 330ci since summer. i'll definitely miss having a car that's fun to beat the hell out of on a regular basis (likely why i keep having issues with it lmao), but i don't have the space for 2 vehicles and i need something more appropriate for cross-country trips and hauling a lot of people/cargo. not sure if i'd be able to survive without a sporty car though

by acquaintance do you mean someone you've talked to a few times but never really hung around outside of groups, or an actual friend just not one of your mains who you talk to frequently?

if it's the first then no that'd be weird for me
if the second then yeah sure, so long as i'd get to visit the kid every now and then

He offered to teach me, I don't know if I'm getting paid

you're not working or going to school so why not take the free practical education. at the least you'll have the feeling of making progress in life, i'm sure. being proficient in vehicle repair/maintenance will never not be a valuable skill, and if you end up good at it you could easily earn certifications and use all this as a temporary fall-back in the event you stay unemployed and/or don't figure out what you really want to do

if i had this same opportunity at the age of 17 instead of becoming a software dev, knowing where i am now i probably would've taken it. but that's just me

It sounds like there's literally no downside except a bit of wasted time if this doesn't work out.

this except it's hardly wasted time if he's getting paid
