An Expansion pack is usually done by the official creators of the game, which actually includes a LOT more to the game, not only 3-4 advantages. Also "Expansion pack" here is useless since people can make Add-Ons.

Expansion packs are also more expensive. Usually from $20-$60.
I doubt RTB's premium features will come close to that.

You're also not forced to pay. You can use RTB without the premium features.

Benefits of friends list:
-No one can take your name, because it forcefully uses your ingame name.
-You can add people.
-You can see what your friends are doing.
-Better interface.
-Think of it as like, MSN in Blockland or something.
-It's coded to be suited purely for Blockland.
-It's run by RTB, rather than centralchat.net.

Downfalls:
-Please try to find one.

Why can't you use one of the free cloud-storages out there to store player data. I know Dropbox have a nifty API that could be used. You get 2 GB of free space, and if you want more you pay monthly either 50GB or 100GB. If you do it right, you don't have to bother of bandwidth problem, because the main data is uploaded directly to Dropbox.

But due that you don't want people to pay monthly fees, then the idea wasn't so good. Still I wanted to be sure you have thought of those kinds of solutions.

Dropbox is not intended to be used as a CDN, and it's a bad idea to try.

I've looked into other possibilities such as Google Apps which could be used in the future but for now I'm going to stick with serving them from our own domain.

Do you know how many hours Ephi has put into making RTB as great as it is? He deserves to be paid a little, at least to help cover server costs.

And it'll still be free, they'll just be a Premium version with a few advanced feature that anyone could live without, but would make the game easier to use.

Yes, i know the mod was hard to make, but im just saying things always go bad when some one invents to put money in the ring.

EDIT: as an example, Roblox was completely ruined whit BC and Robux. No im not a Roblox fan but its an Example.
