"Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness" is in the Declaration of Independence.
The original version of the DoI was "Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Property" but they changed it towards the end.
Regardless, you have the right to pursue happiness. If it makes someone happy to call you a friend then they can do it. Being called a friend is a verbal assault and if it's left at that you have the right to pursue happiness by not giving a forget. Persistent verbal harassment, (via stalking, etc) is an infringement upon your rights to privacy and the right to pursue happiness, likewise, if it makes you happy to torture someone with a pair of pliers you're again infringing their rights to pursue your own and that's no good.
People forget they can turn off the TV. You don't have to have the government protect you.
