i just solo'd eater of worlds 3 times, because there was a GIGANTIC batch of corruption. also, i've broken like 8 shadow orbs, and 3 were literally on-screen next to each other.

Yes, your inventory gets saved between worlds, including multiplayer worlds, which allows you to trade. It's much like an MMO.

There really isn't much to do in terms of building since although I love 2D games it isn't very fun to make structures in 2D. And you can get all the best gear in 1 day if you get too into it. Definitely worth $10 but I am a tad bit disappointed.
