Skeletron has a thing like this but if you don't defeat him before daybreak, His attack will be set to 9999, Witch will kill you in 1 hit no matter how much heath or defense you have.

Because you were not far away enough. In 1.0.4, The eater of worlds will follow you out of the corruption but in 1.0.5, He wont follow you out of the corruption.

It would be better if there was like an easter egg where if your wearing a full suit of the hero of times something like the silver or iron sword would turn into the master sword or quotes hat turns space gun into the spur but of course copyright infringement.
