i'm so bad at mun missions lol

my periapsis always ends up at like half where it was before i started extending toward it and i can never get into orbit with it

why'd you have orange tanks on a lander where are you landing?
the mun

run out of fuel no matter what

you don't even need that much fuel at launch if your craft is light enough

What you'll want to do is put a decoupler on your lander and a small fuel tank. Use the large orange ones to get into an orbit, then use the remaining fuel to fling yourself at the moon. Decouple and use the small fuel tank to orbit the moon.

Mun landing and safe return! First in months.

Using this rocket and accompanying instructions.

I am terrible at getting to the moon, and since the ASAS has been changed I'm pretty scared to try to fly.

Don't worry, SAS is built in to control modules now, and you're free to move with it on.

SAS parts improve other features though, doesn't it?

The old ones that got renamed? Yeah. They help with steering by providing torque.

you dont really need additional sas modules unless your vessel is really big

How would one go about deorbiting a ship full of crew that lost it's engine?
