Author Topic: Kerbal Space Program, Or: How I learned to stop worrying and love THRUSTERRRSSSS  (Read 349193 times)

Was afraid of this, my internet is horrible and I didn't want to have to reinstall.
Well I guess I have no other choice, but I don't see how it could happen all of a sudden, considering I haven't installed anything new since it was working correctly.

For players looking to retain a vanilla feel but don't mind additions,  I HIGHLY recommend Editor Extensions, Flight Engineer, and Precise Node.

I figured out my problem, I still had a setting maxed out in options (was wanting to see the detail), set it back, and its working fine.
I also made it to laythe (just a kethane scanner), and I plan to land a kethane powered rover on duna, after I set a mining base up.

I can't remember if I heard this, but is Kerbal space program getting an official multiplayer update in the future?

It was announced at kerbalkon that it'll receive some sort of multiplayer functionality way down the line. They have to sort out other game additions, bug fixes, and tweaks though.

Thats just cheap. :(  the point of KSP is to construct your own space faring vessels, not just download a mod that does it all for you. At least try.

So I was doing a Moho flyby for some science after the bitchiest transfer ever, and decided maybe I'd land there as well even though I didn't have a lander (I had plenty of fuel). That idea was quickly crushed when I saw I was going 7500m/s. forget you too Kerbol.

I'm hosting a KMP server. Get the mod here (back up your saves and such) http://kerbalspaceport.com/kmp-client/
Just toss the client files into your ksp directory.

Ladies and gentleman, I present to you the giant space fedora.

i keep trying to launch a rocket with a science lab to the mun at least (or duna with nuclear engines)

i do the usual stuff, a typical 3-stage rocket (top/lander, mid/interspace, bottom/kerbin escape), but every launch the entire thing gets super top-heavy and just leans and falls over before exiting kerbin.

what am i doing wrong?  can't get pics i'm on my laptop.

emphasis on what you're doing wrong
make sure your center of thrust is in line with your center of nass

i could literally could maybe just have the science lab can thing as my only piece of lander, nothing else, and the thing will probably still fall over post-launch though.

not that i can confirm this but this is what it seems like but ugh maybe i'm just doing something absolutely outlandishly wrong.
