on the subject of remotetech, i have no idea why cones aren't working for me but they're not

I'm following the guide of pointing it towards a planet ala kerbin, but even the foldable dish with the 45 degree cone ain't working.

well, in RT, not only do you have to have an antenna catch the Thing you want in its cone of transmission, not only does it have to be close enough for the signal to actually reach, but you also have to transmit BACK from the other ship for the connection to work

so basically for an orbital network you'll want satellites with at least three antennae, four or more preferable

edit: and yes, that means transmitting a signal with your Uber Antenna from kerbin to jool won't work if the receptor craft has some stuffty 100km antenna

I meant I couldnt visibly see them at the time but then I noticed a cone button on the bottom of the screen.
And boy I didnt realize it also displayed cones of antennae which are pointing at something directly.

6 Satelittes in perfect (.25s+-) 6 hour synchronous orbits.
Thats a tidbit for you all, don't worry about the orbits being perfectly circular, as long as they're relatively circular and have a orbit period of exactly 6 hours (can't be over by more than a second), they will work fine.

does anyone remember what the wheel plugin was called? it let you angle and tweak your wheels
