What would be awesome is Frostbite 2 going into a Burnout game. Hopefully EA decides to let the engine loose to other devs.
Also if by 6th you mean 1st, ok then.
Doesn't count, you bumped it.

Also, the lighting from the frostbite engine went into dirt 3 i think it is.

On behalf of my buddy starch I'm bumping this.

We just reported that we could be seeing the Battlefield 3 beta this week and zh1nt0 just teased us some more:

This week is going to be off the hook #BF3

Ian Tornay, EA's newest Battlefield 3 community manager also informed us that the beta will only be multiplayer. Meaning no co-op or singleplayer campaign missions. There have been many rumors stating that we will get a few missions (five) in the singleplayer Battlefield 3 beta, but this is all false information. It should be noted that stats are likely to be reset once the game is released, so if you earn a bunch of points in the beta, those will not carry over to release. Giving everyone a level playing field on Battlefield 3's release day: October 25, 2011.

The official Italian Battlefield Facebook page was updated with a bit of interesting information. The text simple says, "Domani ragazzi seguiteci...ci sono delle news su qualcosa che state aspettando da tempo..." which translates to:

Tomorrow guys follow us... there are some news about something you have been waiting a long time...

Well if I'm correct the biggest thing that the Battlefield 3 community has been waiting for lately is the beta. The end of the month is coming fast and EA has a limited amount of time to release the beta. It's been known that the Battlefield 3 beta was approved for the PS3, but was waiting on Microsoft. The Battlefield 3 beta has probably been approved on both systems and we'll be seeing it very soon! To help fuel the fire, check out locust9's (David Goldfarb - Lead Designer) latest tweet:

watch it be more single player footage lmao

I'll see you all on the Battlefield

DICE has previously stated that they were surprised how many were playing Bad Company 2 well after its release (many still play the game today), and that Battlefield 3 would focus more on the long tun, with awards, unlocks and DLC. We know that it’ll take 100 hours to unlock every weapon and attachment per kit, and now DICE’s Patrick Bach has revealed a few more details about the longevity of Battlefield 3.

In a recent interview, Bach states that they’re aiming for a full year of play if players want to unlock everything. Bach said:

“You don’t have to play through the whole game to unlock a new thing – you’ll actually unlock things for each specific weapon and kit. On the other hand if you want to explore the full unlock tree, there’s plenty of things for you to do – we’re aiming for a full year of play for those who really want to unlock everything.”

Of course, a “year of play” differs from player to player. Since it’ll take 400 hours to unlock everything on all kits, that’s just over an hour of gameplay per day for 1 year. We’re sure many will be playing a lot more. On top of the unlocks, there are awards and DLC which will surely provide incentive for players to keep playing a long time after the release. Not to mention the stats tracking and fun gameplay — after all, it’s been 6 years since the release of Battlefield 2 and there are still thousands of active players.

yey medic full equipment tree grind GO

will the level cap be 50 again?

Thats the alpha trial, not the beta

Today, the Battlefield community discovered the new domain http://bf3beta.battlefield.com which shows the message “It Works”, now a new page has popped up which appears to be the Gamestop Managers Early Access Portal. You can login and see the selection screen where you enter your key. https://bf3beta.battlefield.com/index.php?id=1

With Microsoft approval of the Xbox360 build, there is a chance we might see the BF3 Beta this week. Many of the DICE developers have been tweeting that this is going to be an exciting week. We don’t want to speculate too much but according to the Italian Battlefield page, some sort of news will be released tomorrow. Our guess is that it will be in fact a beta date announcement.  Regardless, it’s evident that EA/DICE is getting ready to deliver the BF3 Beta to all of us eager gamers. We can hope to see it by next week. We encourage you to head over to our new forums to meet Battlefield 3 players and get revved up for it’s release! We will also be hosting some exciting beta contests!

No, that was just me showing I had pre-ordered it.

oh ok.
i have it preordered, but for xbox

Yay they gave me Dead Space 2, had to go through the live support, which was easy but took about 15 minutes to get a person.
