The official Battlefield youtube channel replied to me, I feel special.

thatd be really stupid of them to do. i very highly doubt thats true.
why is it stupid to limit yourself? the game is designed so that you can't officially "max it out". using the new dx11 and such, they made it so it uses all of your GPUs resources to keep on increasing the detail to the max you can. Meaning it will scale the detail to the max that your card will work efficiently on. the main thing needed here is Vram for massive texture scaling. Some guy at PAX who was with dice said they recommend TWO 580 SLIs to run this.

Two SLI 580's eh? My SLI 570's should be sufficient then.

you CAN run it on max settings with a 580, just that after that when it comes to the scaling of detail and tessellation and such, that will depend on just the power you have, not what setting you put it at. It can keep getting better after max depending on what you put into it.

That's loving amazing.

I want to play BF3 in like 5 or 10 years with the latest GPUs of that time and see how it'd be.

I'll get BF3 for PC. Odd though, the fact that Origin takes more processing power than Steam is wierd and slightly suspicious.

I hope you can destroy bridges and stuff to stop vehicles from traveling places.

i really hope basic equipment is available at the start in bf3, having to work to get defibs and the other support gear (which are critical for points in some classes) was loving stupid in bfbc2
