macs can't open .exe files.

Just open the file named 'df' wait for a few seconds and it will come up. At first you will se a console displaying messages, then another window will appear and you can play the game.

Also, I slept in the open with my men (and 5 womenz) during the night. Bad idea, was sneak attacked by like 50 goblins. I killed a bunch, but I was down to 5 men so I fled. One of them died on the way out.

Also, protip: never recruit bowmen or crossbowmen. They'll be marginally more useful than a pet rat until they run out of ammo.

My 7 dwarves have been real busy.

Also the region is Heavily Forested, Warm, Untamed Wilds. And it rains a loving lot.

Get to a part of the river with a walkable space at ground level, alt-move in that direction and one of the options is to pull yourself up.

Find a lake, make a corridor to it then:
Make a floodgate and trigger it with a lever, hence flooding any corridor of your pleasing and killing stuff.

Where do you find or how do you find coal? I have somehow struck upon "insanely valueable" adamantite and have no coal to make overpowered weapons with D=
