Haha, that's very convenient :D

And 'it' is what?

Don't know what he edited, but to answer your question, maps have their own draw distance.

At one point you said the shader source will be available, I'm guessing this means you can have your own custom shaders in the game? If so, that's bloody awesome. :D

I personally think that having RPs on terrain maps (Viano, Paradise, ect) was one of my favorite parts of the game. Well, I just think you would have to work alot harder to have a lot less fun after this.

It's putting more focus on the namesake of the game. BLOCKland. Not InteriorLand or TerrainLand. You build with blocks, you don't put a single JVS door down and call an interior a shop. That's lazy.

For almost eight years our kingdom has relied on the terrain for it all to be taken away for shadows? Bah! No longer will I be able to smoothly climb a mountain and enter into a tunnelway system that goes through it! This is the end to the ways of the ancient.. We face no other choice but to approach this change!

tunnels were never possible with terrain.

tunnels were never possible with terrain.
They were possible but you could not build in them

They also looked really bad.

I set up a thread to discuss mapping in v21. I realize this is a little off-topic but I think everyone posting in this thread will probably find it interesting. If we move the discussion over there then this thread might be a little less crowded with off-topic posts.

There is a little shadow problamo

notice how it goes through the bricks and shines on the slanted brick

There are windows on those spots

Personally, I prefer terrains and interiors over all of this.
But when I consider the whole picture, It is good for blockland.

In today's age of "Ooh, sucks, dosn't have good graphics" gamers, I thought Blockland would just die.
But this is probably Blockland's only hope if it wants to survive at a decade (though i wish they just made "blockland 2" instead)

edit: those shaders look kickass

That's light cast by the brick lights in the build. I built the damn thing.

With this update, I think Plate 3 should become a default map.
I'd rather not as I might want to edit it later.

Also, does this mean Slate Edits will become more popular?
This means Slate edits will be the only maps available.
