Where are there actual helicopter spawns for that matter
It's Bolata! HNNG!
sry dad

um
Cherno and Elektro aren't the best places to find stuff like that. There is this one town near Balona that has a warehouse filled to the brim with engine parts.

I think Elektro's dock is the best. It has like 3 one room sheds, 6 two room sheds, 2 hangar things, and a 3 story building filled with stuff.

It also has 4 sheds near the gas station down the road a little bit.

All in all I almost always find every part I need no matter what server it is. ~60% all of those buildings together spawn enough stuff to completely fix any vehicle too.

What? the M-16 takes 2 shots to the body to kill, AKM only takes 1...
In the case of the the M16A2 vs AK74/AKM I'd say the M16 is good for medium range outdoors combat. AK iron sights are crude and hard to use. However the AK has full auto, so if you get into that swarmed mode you can spray and pray. I might use the AK in close quarters, plus you have a chance to find ammo in firehouses, but if you are good at sneaking onto bases and lurk the forests, take an m16 or a civy weapon.

Which heli spawn did you go to?
NW airfield or NE?
It was on top of some old castle tower.

Yeah, but our luck was bad. Found rotaries, windshield glass, three jerry cans, and a ton of car wheels. No engine parts.

When Draco's friend said that he told him that there was no such thing. What a dummy!

Sounds like devil's castle

The Factories in Cherno and Elektro are loaded with vehicle parts.

Maybe I could help you all next time

Sounds like devil's castle
no, they were looking for parts in cherno/elektro. heli would have been at Rog most likely.

Map
I've traveled to several of those in SP and none of them seem to be there.

I thought helicopters were removed due to glitches and de-synch until further notice

lots of bandits and other people hoard vehicles at their camps which usually are outside the map

I'm waiting for the standalone. I already play Project Reality anyways, so I don't really need ARMA 2.

The AKM is perfectly accurate in single shots and has zeroing for a range up to 800 metres while the M16A2 has a range of about 300 metres. Sure the ironsights are rather crude but with some practise you can actually hit things and a single hit is mostly a kill with the AKM.
It's not as hard to use as people think.

The ammo and the gun itself commonly spawn in deer stands as well so you won't have too many problems with ammo unless you go full auto all the time.
2 hit and 1 hit kill is a big difference - if you only hit the body of a person / zombie you get 15 kills with a single M16A2 mag while the AKM mag grants you 30 kills maximum on body shots.

The only real downsides of the AKM are the rather loud noise and the ironsights - at least for most people.

So yeah I'd take the AKM instead of the M16.

And another downside is the full auto. In my experience if you use full auto for more than like 2 seconds you waste almost all of the mag
