I never realized how many problems other people were having with this. My computer has, since shadows and shaders first came out, ran them perfectly on any setting. It looks awesome, thanks Badspot.

Thanks for still releasing updates. Hopefully this post contributes. I'm still having those shadow artifact issues. I'll post what shaders look like on each setting.

This is when they're off

This is on minimum

This is on low

This is on medium

This is on high

This is on very high

And this is on max

I'm not getting any console errors, which is an improvement. I was switching around the shader settings before quitting, that's why it keeps reloading them in console.log attached. Thanks for checking this out.

Its lovebug season if florida (idk if lovebugs are all around but anyway) thats what thos shadows look like xD. But ya. I been having the same issue. Mine are more in a line type style.

termites have taken over your castle

I have no idea what i'm talking about,
but would that flushtexturecashe console command do anything?
if not,
ogm termites
try creep spray ºДº

$500 got me max settings working perfect on BL.
PM me your specs.

that is nowhere near a high end card.
the AMD website seems to say otherwise, it lists it as being a very good graphics card. anyways it runs any game on max settings just fine and i've never had a problem with it, so i don't see why shadows aren't working for me.

Battlefield made like a billion dollars, they can afford to hire 10 people whose only job is figuring out how to run shaders on your crap-tacular laptop.  I am one guy.
Excuse the incorrect date.

that's because they want you to buy it. it's 2 generations behind and not even the best model of its generation. it's decent at best by yesterday's standards.

So my HD Graphics card is the reason why I can't run shadows? It's far, far better than the graphics card my desktop uses (which is also many years older), yet it can run shadows just fine on high settings.

I got my gaming computer just two years ago. I don't possibly see how it can already be "outdated". As if everyone goes out and buys a new $1,000 gaming computer every 6 months.

Just because it displays things in HD doesn't mean it's that good. It's pretty much an expectation, not a feature.

Could you compare my card to one that should run shadows?

Also it still doesn't explain my garbage desktop being able to run shadows while my gaming computer can't.
