Are there any bands that actually have a guitarist, a bassist, a lead singer, and a drummer that doesn't sound like crap and isn't hard rock or metal?
>Madeon was too, hard rock for me. I didn't really like the few songs I listened to by them.>Above and Beyond, again, too hard rock and too many effects. It all songs computerized, I don't know why.>Daft Punk was too computerish, the few songs I heard sounded all the same to me.>Swedish House Mafia, again, you can tell that most of it was done by computers. I need to be able to hear the guitarist, hear the drummer and hear the bass. All I hear is beats and weird sounds.>Pegboard Nerds, same thing as most of the above stuff.>Same with Porter Robinson.I want to be able to hear people playing instruments. I don't like things that are done by machines. They all sounded the same to me. I need something that sticks out, like the singer has a unique voice, or there is a good guitar player or you notice the drums throughout the song.
guise, it hs compotrs in it, es bad.loving classic rock was one of the pioneers of synth in music. Baba O'Riley anyone?
Dark Side of the Moon, too. That album was revolutionary in terms of computer editing.
The Drums - It was ok.Smashing Pumpkins(Basically an old band but new album) - I have heard some of these guys' songs. They're pretty good.Title Fight - I didn't really like this one. Singer was weird and the drums and guitar were too dominant throughout the whole song. Echo Lake - Didn't really like this one either.Silversun Pickups - Singer was a little weird and it was too hard rock, I think.Yuck - I liked everything in this song, except the singing. I couldn't hear it.M83 - This one was weird. The Wombats - This one was pretty good.
I liked Smashing Pumpkin's 1979.Ironic lol.
Not ironic
For the songs you couldn't hear the vocals(except Title Fight,) they were shoegazing songs. The vocals are just treated like any other instrument and are meant to be distant and dreamy.
I just thought it was funny that one of the very few modern songs I like is called 1979.
That was just a keyboard, the guy was actually playing the keyboard. I think that the keyboard is one of the good instruments like the guitar. As long as someone is actually playing it and it can be noticed.
