I avoided saying that. I guess love of the instrumental is an acquired taste or somethingIf recent is after 1990, I have a stuff ton of stuff to play. But I feel finding music is something you do on your own and we can't force it on you
I'm not saying that the instruments aren't important. The instruments are very important, bur when you listen to a song, the lyrics are the first thing you notice. Then, when you listen to it more, you notice how cool the guitar sounds at this part and how you didn't notice this drum fill right here, and how the section of bass is amazing.
I do this all the time. I listened to Close to the Edge by Yes for the first time and though "Hmmm, I guess it's ok". Then I listened to it more and more. I noticed how a section of instruments playing before the words come are absolutely amazing. I noticed that the beginning of the song isn't just random instruments making rand noises and that it is actually planned.
