A little bit confusing for me.

Do i need to make a launch batch file? or am i suppose to drag the .obj file to the converter executable?

Just wondering

Either way works.

Protip: Create a .BAT file (Or .TXT and manually change the extension) with the following code to automatically show the console window for any converted .OBJ file and keep the window open for you to read the output.
Code: [Select]
blbConverter %1
pause
To use it place the .BAT in the same folder as the blbConverter.exe and simply drag-and-drop your .OBJ on the .BAT file. No need to use the old method of specifying the file names (blbConverter model.obj model.blb) this thing spits out a BLB file with the same name as your .OBJ.

avast what are you doing

can someone explain this to me

so i make a model (a topless ramp to be precise), and the dimensions are exactly 1x1x1.2

what next?

edit; so i did this

the outside box i name BOUNDS
and inside the triangle there are 2 triangles
one of them i named COLLISION1
did i do this correctly

edit #2 tested in game, brick not showing up

please help

got this all to work, was exporting wrong

now when the brick is in game, it seems to be offset a lot
not only is it offset by a lot
its scaled weird; in blender the scale is 0.5 0.5 0.6
in blockland the dimension is as though its a perfect square

It must stand on top of the grid
yeah i fixed that later

but its still offset and the dimensions are different in blockland then blender

help please

i just dont get it in blender the sizes are 0.5 0.5 and 0.6 for a 1x1 brick

in blockland it shows to be like halfway to the right and down offset

and instead of being like 0.5 0.5 0.6 in blender, it seems to be a perfect 0.5 0.5 0.5, so the height isn't the same as bricks in-game

help plz

I got it to work, I was exporting it wrong

now, how do I make it so you cannot build on top of the brick?

and also how to make ramps have normal collision?

.DTS collision like the default ramps.

.DTS collision like the default ramps.
so i did this

and i just reshaped the cube into the triangle and scaled it, so all the sides are still quadrilaterals
exported as .dts
but in-game there is no collision?

I think you need to export the ramp shape as a collision layer (in the dts exporter you can set that up)
You also don't need quads, use the least ammount of faces possible

I made a 1x1 arch in blender but when I export it to Blockland It is just a plain huge brick.

I am exporting with the settings demian specified:
These settings save a few bytes per brick on your computer:

The only settings that are required by the exporter. The rest is just extra.

PM me the blend and I'll check it out. Please use Paste Blend: http://www.pasteall.org/blend/
