Excuse me. I did look it up and the sticker you use you dont even get in that zone. No other Paper Mario game REQUIRES a special item, an un-hinted item by the way, to beat any boss. I dont think you have played any other Paper Mario game
Also, you CANNOT beat that boss without that sticker.

The boss does 4 damage each hit and alternates each turn: 2 hits, 3 hits, 4 hits, poison blast. Do thats 8 damage, then 12 damage, then 16 damage. If you are hit with the poison (which does 7 I think), you cannot hit the boss with attacks while it attacks you. The boss has 300 health and your attacks are reduced in damage by 75% against it. That means your normal jump does a maximum of 4 damage.

The sticker negates its defense, poisons it for 30 damage, and always makes it miss for three turns. Now, tell me you dont need that sticker.

Doesn't sound like you've played this game.

And for the record, I did beat the boss.
So forget you.

"you need the sticker to beat the boss"
"i beat the boss btw"

So forget you.

the entire point of that post was that you NEED the sticker to win, moron

So forget you.
So much negativity.
You must really suck at the game.

Discuss the game or get out.
If you have nothing to add you should not be here.

My negativity is from the fact that they butchered my favorite Mario series a second time.
My opinions on this game will be biasly low.

Let me end on the question: How does not having or not knowing what one sticker you need to kill the boss correctly qualify me as "a bad player"?

I heard it sucked, that bosses were pushovers if you just used enough thing stickers but that they were almost impossible to defeat without thing stickers, and that you get litterally no hint of what to do in for example, puzzles and  boss fights. I saw a video of the final boss and even he was a pushover, as he was defeated in no less than 2 turns and the player didn't even get to finish his epic combo of attacks. He used like 5 stickers in total.

I'm kinda doubting this game now. I'm still going to get it but I have the feeling I won't be as happy as I thought I'd be.

In case some morons still couldn't understand:

Mr. Nobody's point was that it was stupid that you needed that sponge sticker to win. I watched let's plays and nowhere did it ever tell you that you needed the sponge sticker. The boss, also once again becomes a pushover once you use that sponge sticker. It shoots poison, it backfires and it poisons itself. It does 30 damage a turn. Wow.

can you do the danger mario technique?

can you do the danger mario technique?

no because there are no badges

also no optional bosses or a pit of 100 trials

I guess Nintendo's been focusing too much on appealing to younger players lately. I  guess the time has come for Paper Mario to join that movement, too.
They always were. What do you mean?

To be fair, the game DOES give you an ever so slight hint to what you need to do AFTER you die to the boss three times and survive till its half health..

ONLY THEN does your loving partner come out and say "Duuh, you need a way to deflect the poison!"
No stuff, thanks. I only died to this bastard three times..

I died to that blooper about 12 times, but I reset the game before I actually died so it didn't count as a loss not giving me that ever so helpful hint.

I really wonder who this game was designed for. It's neither aimed toward older or newer players satisfying neither. Did Mario become the next Sonic?

Sigh, I'm at a point in the game where you need to use item stickers in the world to advance the story. Up until this point that was nearly unheard of, until now. No warning, no hints, just confusion.

Sure some are explanatory: need a lightbulb replaced? Use the lightbulb sticker! But some of them are cryptic as hell. I just used a vacuum sticker to get rid of a tornado... Uh huh. That sure was intuitive!

The original "Paper Mario" for the Nintendo 64 was an masterpiece that was well executed with beautifully detailed environments, an incredible sound track, intriguing story line and characters, and items. The first game will never be beat. At least "Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door" used the same fighting mechanics as the original game did, but then they screwed up the whole franchise with "Super Paper Mario" for the Wii, and "Paper Mario Sticker Star" for the 3DS. I hate how Nintendo believes that they have to change every single thing in a game that made it great if they want people to actually buy and then play it. They should just update the things that they need to update without copying other games, and then just leave the elements that made that specific game franchise great. I really hope that Nintendo doesn't screw up the Luigi's Mansion series with "Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon".

an un-hinted item by the way,

the normal battle theme sounds incredibly close to Superstar Saga's "Oho Oasis" theme
obviously there are key differences, but damn it sounds so similar

Yes, congratulations. You quoted a post when I did not find the hint after one where I did!
I'm glad you picked up in the fact that I'm posting as I play rather than after!

Your so smart!
