That processor has no overclocking and less power than the 3570k.
That video card is a less card than the 270x
It has no SSD, only a no-name 7200RPM HDD (which is included in my build)
Case is one of the ugliest things I've ever seen.

when I ran the live update on the program it said there werent any updates, and I recall updating all of it, should I update it anyways? I'm getting an FX 8320 today and need to know. If I do, how do I?

Probably not. They might fix the VS for Windows 9 now that the old design team has been fired, but I doubt they'll do anything about 8. There's always this, but I haven't tried it myself: http://www.msfn.org/board/topic/163725-aero-glass-for-win8-12/

Anyway, I went out and bought the 760 and holy stuff is it an improvement. I haven't really tried much gaming yet since I did a complete reinstall of Windows at the same time, but it runs Unigine Heaven at max settings, which my GTS250 could barely handle at medium-low. It also has the added benefit of not sounding like a vaccum cleaner.

My 6950 sounds like a turbine engine when I start to play games. Even idle I can hear it a bit louder than I feel I should. Every other fan in my case is nearly silent, but this thing is sooo loud. Thinking about an aftermarket cooler, but I haven't ever dealt with GPU heatsinks.

Yeah, the reference coolers are usually noisier than the aftermarket ones. That's why I got the ASUS variant of the 760, since it has the DirectCU II. Replacing the cooler shouldn't be too difficult, though; from what I understand it's held in place with just a couple of screws like a processor heatsink, and the reference cards all use common mount points for the cooler (I think).
