It still has to be perfected ... sorry I have starfish syndrome.

I'll be on pretty soon, I'll do my work and I'll be on and working.

Work, school and my own leisure have really cut into my freetime to work on this project.

As I've been telling Derroith: lately I have been working on a lobby spawn system that allows you to have multiple saves per Blockland key. This feature will allow you to play with your friends using the same key. It also helps us avoid future exploitation through connecting with multiple clients. So far the code is solid but there is still a lot of work with calculating the positions of objects in reference to the spawn "room". Note that there are no bricks involved in this lobby spawn system.

I hope to incorporate a lot of nifty features into this gamemode that perhaps I can carry over to future projects.

Derroith gave me a tour of the map; everything is looking very nice. Hoping you guys will finish this, and if so, this is going to be one of the best games on Blockland.

I've actually ran over this thought multiple times, I just can't see him doing it- he wouldn't be able to anyway.

If anyone is interested in a quick tour I might give you one.

DayB is like a giant puzzle that doesn't look like anything until all the pieces are together. Here is a list of primary features I have at least started on:
  • Lobby spawn system
  • Lobby death system
  • Projectile hit detection
  • Falling damage detection
  • Crippling
  • Trauma
  • Bleeding
  • Toolbelt inventory
  • Player inventory
  • Backpack inventory
  • Player persistence (multiple)
  • Hunger
  • Stamina
  • Player triggers and playertype
  • Loot system
  • Local chat
  • Player outfits
  • Trust-based team chat

There are many other tweaks I want to make, but those might have to wait for the future. For example, I want a new playertype with a crippled animation instead of the walk animation. These are more cosmetic features so they can wait, but they are still on my to do list. Some other major things not listed include zombies, vehicles and weapons.

We need more pictures please. Or at least some type of 'dev blog' video.

Will there actually be melee weapons unlike in DayZ? I never liked the lack of melee, it took away from stealth.
