Nevermind about the Tercel at least for now, I have bigger problems
there is this two stop light intersection right outside my high school that I hated even before today I hated it then and I REALLY hate it now two streets come on to the main street of my town about 50 ft down the street from eachother so there are two stoplights, one for each intersection at the second one, people turn left onto Allen street at the first people turn right onto a street that I forget the name of, the main road is a 4 lane main street WITH NO LEFT TURN LANE!
so my brother sees an admittedly awesome lookin 57 belair and looks at it for just a little too long in the gap between the two intersections, im screaming at him to stop 20 ft or so before he reaches the 2001 alero that has stopped to turn left at the second one. by the time he realizes what im yelling about he only has time to slam the brakes and turn, but it wasn't enough and he hit the alero going about 20 mph, a glancing blow on the drivers side. We had joked before that if any harm ever came to the car I would punch the one responsible directly in the face but I didn't I really felt like it though In fact after the first 30 seconds I was extremely level headed and I haven't cried. yet. so we called the police and started the car back up (Thank Christ the car seems to have suffered only structural damage) we followed the Alero onto Allen street and stopped to expect a calm explanationary period before the cops showed up but all we got was a fat 40 something who only cared about how she was going to be late for work, and her own pile of stuff oldsmobile, I don't think she ever even asked if we were okay, It was our fault, but have some common courtesy for someone who just lost a piece of their soul in that car accident. The kicker was the only thing damaged about her stuff was the back bumper while im going to have to replace a whole headlight/turn signal assembely plus a drivers fender and hood, PLUS a bumper. disregard the fact that she could go and find her bumper easily and wont have to ship in parts from all over the country just to replace them. So the cops get there and they take forever to file the report as usual and during this period I discover the hood doesn't shut, so I ask the officer if he has a bungee cord, of course he doesn't but the good news is there was a hardware store just down the street so I drove down there after he'd finished his report and my bro bought a bungee cord we got about half way home and that Chinese made piece of trash broke and the hood flew up onto the windshield but luckily it didn't break I drove home the rest of the way at 20 mph pissed the forget off at the hardware store for selling me that bullstuff the car is at home now and my brother was issued a 105$ ticket for failure to stop
all this plus the fact that I have no car to get to school or work with now at least until I get the hood to shut
Were buying this parts car this weekend and itll be fixed by next week
