Warble, how many cars do you have?  Iirc, you, have 2, right?
my dad has a 1996 Olds Cutlass, which was mine for awhile but he drives it now because he sold his Buick le sabre
weve had the 1987 Celica Gt for two years now but I love it too much to winter it (and it would be stuff in the snow anyway), and given that the Oldsmobile is unavailable to me now and my brother and I are getting jobs again next month, me and him will both need our own year round cars by next summer when we graduate high school unless we plan on going to college without one, A tercel like that would be ideal, great mpgs and lots of seats for carpooling great cargo space and snow ability. My bro is looking at either inheriting the Oldsmobile again down the road when my dad saves enough money for an older Cadillac cts that he wants or buying a Subaru or Mazda of some sort, The celica will probably either get sold :C or kept at the house for my Dad's use while im at college because its useless 4 months out of the year

my family has a bunch of cars on the property though

Half of a Jaguar XKE were storing for some guy in Venezuela who keeps the rent coming but hasn't inquired about it for 2 years
half of a 1989 Silverado we use for a trailer
2 Datsun 240z's
a 1992 Chevy Lumina that is bound for the crusher in a week
My Celica
The Oldsmobile
a 1966 Chrysler 300
a 2011 Kawasaki Ninja
and finally a 2002 GMC 1500 Box Van

My dad sold his '01 Ford Focus a couple days ago. Had it since at least 2005 so it's weird seeing it gone. It was the same Focus that I made that thread for when it died in the middle of the road and had to be towed. Now we're just down to the E350, the Versa, and the BMW.

Well I am pretty ticked right now. Got my first ticket today.

I was driving on my street on the way to school and did my usual fast acceleration up a very large hill on my street. I probably could've been fine going slower, but too slow and my 3 ton van just sorta struggles its way up. As soon as I crested the hill, I was clocked by a cop facing the oncoming as far as half a mile away who was trapping people. I got a citation for 46 in a 30. This was the first time I ever saw cops on my street even after living here for almost six years. Another car was pulled over right near me and there were kids talking about the trap at school as well.

I doubt trying to waive the ticket would work. I was over the speed limit, although the only limit sign is at the mouth of my street in the oncoming direction.

I've only even been pulled over once, and it was for an expired tag (like nine months expired lol)
no ticket though. the guy just told me to get it replaced, and if he saw me with it again he'd give me a ticket
apparently my mom had actually already gotten the new tag the day before, but didn't tell me

To be honest, I'm really upset about all this. I follow speed limits to a dime everywhere except apparently my street. I honestly didn't know the speed limit was just 30. No one ever ever ever follows it, not my parents, not the neighbors, not passersby, no one, and I was the one that got in trouble. All my life being the homeschooled boy who was passionate about weather and always being the favorite good boy in any classes I was in, I get in this predicament that any common irresponsible kid would do. Now my parents are incredibly stressed out (My mom is trying to be nice, still haven't and don't want to face my dad) about this situation, my insurance going up, trying to hire an attorney for a special Missouri knack that may get my record cleaned, my college plans and funding, and all the gas I'm using to get to schools. I can't get a job anywhere in a 25 mile radius cause no one wants me so helping with payments is incredibly hard if not literally impossible.

[/rant]

on the interstate i speed ALL the time. at this point I know all the spots cops like to hang out, but on regular roads I'd still only drive around 5mph over, because it seems reasonable enough to not get pulled over for just that if a cop did see me

yeah I'm pretty familiar with traps around here too. There's one area of high speed divided highway near me that goes from 60 to 50 to 45 in just a few feet, so cops sit at the end where the road funnels into two lanes at snap up anyone who doesn't slow down quick enough.

The Byrnes Mill jurisdiction near me is known throughout Missouri for their cops, who are known to take out people infringing on the limit by as little as 2mph. I think the police chief was recently fired and they had the force updated getting new cops and vehicles though, so they might not do that anymore. My dad got pulled over there a while ago for turning left into McDonald's when the no left turn sign was blocked by traffic, and the cops apparently took advantage of that. Since then they've added two more signs for a total of three now.

Everyone here drive like imbeciles where I live :/, They either all speed or change lane without signaling. Or try to force there way over, Morons!. Sadly I can't drive :(

We did more work on the Studebaker today, so far the car has no interior or anything because it was all removed. Rusty as hell but we'll get it eventually.
The engine is trash so its being scrapped. Currently working: Generator (yes, the big things that were used before the alternator), windshield wipers, headlights(I think), horn, stereo, and other minor things. I'd get a photo but were working on it in class so cell phones and such have to stay put away.

that feeling when you do a perfect drift around a gravel turn

Ive been lurking around too much lately. Anyway heres the car that I now drive, a 2006 Subaru WRX. Manual, AWD, and has a Turbo. It was my brothers car, but since he hardly drove it I was lucky enough to take it off his hands, as long as i pay the monthly car payment. Its mostly stock besides the exhaust, has some nice wheels, most badges taken off, and a ghetto spoiler removal. The current problems with it is that it needs a new clutch (the clutch slips when the turbo kicks in, and causes the rpms to go up quickly, and then fall down a little bit) which will cost about $700 because im looking into getting a stage 2 clutch. Also im gonna take it into a body shop or something so i can fix up the spoiler removal job my brother did, which left five noticeable holes on top of the trunk. Other things i would like to do is possibly a new turbo, nothing crazy just some extra power, and possibly a new wing/spoiler because im not a huge fan of wrxs with no spoilers.

Anyway i thought i would post this here because i love this car and plan to drive it for as long as it lasts, and also to get some opinions on what else I should do to it.

P.S. I was thinking about possibly painting the mud flaps, theyre rally armor flaps but I would like to get a darkish green color. I would buy some but theyre around $150 and also I cant find green mud flaps for my car anywhere. If anyone has any recommendations on how I would go about painting them thatd be great.

damn hobos taking my parking space

Ive found a tercel I can buy, it would be a hell of a lot of work and a whole day's drive just to go get it, and then its still pretty rough, a lot of paint and bodywork to get it to look presentable

Are you dead set on a Tercel or are you just looking for a cheap car? If you end up driving down there you'll be in my neighboring county
