- Starmade tutorial isn't intuitive at all
- Space engineers has much better graphics
- Much better physics
- Amazing destruction physics
- GIANT ROBOTS THAT ACTUALLY WORK
- Did I mention the physics engine yet?
- Let's not forget modding!
- Fancy mechanical things that actually work!!
- physics!!
a) the modding is half-assed. You can't even model a blast door that opens fully because doors are hard loving coded. the furthest degree of modding is adding new blocks to the game. If thats what you consider "modding" starmade has had modding support for the past year.
b) as far as "muh grafix" goes it really depends on what youre looking for in a game. Starmade is bright and colorful; SE tends to have darker and more washed out colors. I'm not even going into what you think is "detail". Space Engineers is loving duplo to skubmades lego
c) you have me at the physics engine; for now.
d) i have yet to see a functional mech that worked practically ingame. mechs built in skubmade using turret blocks function almost as efficiently as the ones i've seen. Granted that rotors are loving awesome and ive done some cool stuff with em ingame
e) repeating yourself because youve run out of points of contention does both arguments a disservice.
Edit: good job dipstuff, you missed the most GLARING difference between the two: space engineers has an actual survival mode. In fact its probably what will be the main thing setting the two games apart as time goes on.
