i never heard that term before

Well, it's really something you'd hear if you know aloveual people in real life. I only learned about it like the beginning of the year.

or you might know it if you live in that part of tumblr, which i don't

i dont know anyone thats ace

yay i used it

That's a really stupid word in my opinion.

why is that?

It just is?

Oh, right, I'm sorry, it's a silly word.

why is that?
It does sound like a rather lame way to compliment yourself for having a particular loveuality (or lack of loveuality).

And if it's just to shorten the word then it doesn't work (as evidenced by the fact that Reficul didn't know what you meant). Like, homoloveuality, heteroloveuality and biloveuality are all long words, so shortening to homo/hetero/bi makes sense, but aloveual is a pretty short word anyway, so it doesn't need a contraction that doesn't quite work.

Add me I'm uber straight

also known as... being proud of who you are

first of all, aloveual and biloveual have the same number of syllables
and how does it "not quite work"??

Night Fox don't you have your own threads.

Night Fox don't you have your own threads.
the only still active thread of mine is the prequel thread and it hasn't been updated in a while. so no, I guess??

and I'm not sure why you're singling me out. I didn't start this

Well you start dumb arguments all of the time so...
And I was referring to the lsgsbtbt and furry thread.

Honestly, this is where a lot of people start to dislike those of differing loveualities.
It's alright to have a different loveuality, and it's alright to be proud, but why do you have to keep reminding people of that fact? It's not something you see a lot of heteroloveuals do, even if they are proud of who they are.

And if calling yourself "ace" is your method of boosting your self-image, or showing your pride, it's a bit of a pathetic way of doing it.

"Bi" "Bi-loveual".
"Homo" "Homo-loveual"
"Hetero" "Hetero-loveual".
"Ace" "A-loveual".

It's not "Ace-loveual". It's like a half-rhyme, and it's jarring.
And yeah, Biloveual doesn't really need shortening either, but at least the contraction works.
You can't refer to an aloveual as an "A", but that doesn't mean that "Ace" works better.

since when am i reminding people of this fact?? People tend to forget that I'm aloveual but i don't really care. and i don't even use the word ace to describe myself.

Ace seems fine to me. Aloveual just seems too scientific to be used informally anyway.

yes... that is exactly what it means. do you have a better solution?

why is this discussion even a thing
