How do you guys even have the patience to build something so amazingly huge?

well doesn't modmaking take a while too?

after last night's battle i awoke to find myself the only one still in the sector

the sector boundaries are still admin-locked and i can't get out

Yeah, but something about building huuuge ships block by block sounds so daunting to me.. :P
I suppose a bunch of preparation and planning would help. Do you guys generally sketch out the design (or make a smaller mock-up) of the ship before building it, or do you just work with what's in your head?

you dont build them block by block

there's an advanced build mode function that lets you rapidly place large amounts of blocks, as well as a duplicator function

when i build ships i make a frame of the ship first and gradually fill it in until i get a shape i like

so me and nav (and possibly kelblock) have split off into our own faction, Chabaz Company, an ally of Helkan Imperium

a sample of our future stuff

Well these past few days have certainly been an interesting turn of events. My faction's leader, Incap, posts his penguin research in our faction's public skype chatroom, (i censored his research so it doesnt break forum rules, but still click at your own risk), I leave my faction, my former faction's co-leader TwoNiner goes on an autistic rampage, blacklists me from the faction and swears a vendetta of endless spawnkilling against me after his precious exploits are reported and fixed, and I become public enemy #1 for the Helkan Imperium because apparently it's wrong to do something about lying and cheating.

Now i'm on the run and in hiding. Its kind of exciting in a way. Its also kimd of ironic, because my former enemies are now my friends.
