Author Topic: iPhone 6/iOS 8 Launch is basically a disaster  (Read 21226 times)

blablabla. apple is probably choosing aluminum for a cheaper alternative to glass on the back, which of course will mean it will be cheaper in quality. if your iPhone 6 does bend in your pocket, well that's your fault, not Apples.

Excuse me so in the end what's the bloody reason for paying hundreds of dollars for a Apple phone if not for quality?

i actually think they did it on purpose. im 100% certain a bent screen is not warranty repairable and they would make you pay a lot of dosh to repair it or give you a new one
well played, apple

It does have quality, it's just not as durable as other products apparently.

probably true lol

It would take exactly zero effort to just allow people to use a command line. There is no reason to not allow it.

Then buy a product that can do what you want.
Unless you were born yesterday, you should know by now apple products are designed for idiots. Things cannot be more complicated then turning on a TV. Thus less ability.

It does have quality, it's just not as durable as other products apparently.
Then how is that the consumer's fault?

what
this is blatantly contradictory
are you trolling or something

it bends like stuff but its still a great product!!!!!
apple did it again guys!!!!

lol, apple has bending phones, screen yellowing now, ios 8, people falling for wave and touch ID and reception breaking. Clearly we're dealing with the highest quality products here.

sorry i'm making myself confused lol
I don't know what I was talking about, I think I meant quality in other parts, not how it was built.

I feel bad for the slaves at foxconn for making a barely functional product.

Maybe all phones bend. Apple just has a higher percentage of skinny jean wearing hipsters.

Good one, but unfortunately no.

with giving it a small little arch

Small arch? This is a lot more than a small arch. I sure don't want my phone looking like this.
that "point" (emphasis on the quotations) could be made to any flaw on the iPhone. "hey guys, watch me tap a hammer onto the front of an iPhone, oh stuff it shatters, damn looks like the iPhone is a flop." no you loving handicaps, it's because the screen is made of glass.
This couldn't be more arrogant. It's a stress test not a loving smash test?
key word here, purpose. that loving barbarian in the video is using all of his force trying to bend it.
He looks like his arms were relaxed in the video while his wrists and finger tips are bending it. Not sure why you called him a barbarian either, that's an ancient term. Didn't know people who bend phones makes them not part of society?
the iPhone 6 is aluminum
Exactly why the phone bends. Aluminum is a rather weak metal. The complaints came in a couple days after the release, not the day of. Of course it'll take time before people notice it. Keep putting it in your pocket, walk, of course aluminum will bend.
not loving armored steel
Idk what phone does use armored steel, you're right. I do know some phones that can structure their phone so it doesn't bend though! Apple tried and they failed sorry.
if your iPhone 6 does bend in your pocket, well that's your fault, not Apples.
Well, when I pay $300 for a phone, I expect to put it in my pocket and it not to bend.

Look, I'm not an apple fanboy, and I'm not anti-apple. I actually have an iPhone 5C because that's all I need in a phone. It's simple and I only need simple things. However, I look at things logically and it just seems apple didn't do a great job on iOS8 or iphone6+

Also, a followup video this man did did bend tests on other phones, and they were pretty solid with no bending. It's hard to believe only 9 people complained about it?

My phone from 2008 doesn't bend, dropped a few times and screen never breaks, battery lasts a week. I'd say most smart phones are complete downgrades in terms of durability.

I have a hand-me-down 4S that has seen Some stuff. I somehow drop it like every time I go to a convention right onto the sidewalk. There is a tiny chip in one corner and a single scratch on the screen.

I hate the modern "thinner/smaller is better" trend in technology because it's handicapped and just results in stuff like this.

For me I see it as mobile, touch screen, smaller, thinner. Everyone is trying to kill the deskstop pc like they did the landline, payphone and call box, laptop(soon to replaced by tablets and notebooks).

The PC is a powerful truck that can be modified, hard to destroy.  An iphone is a just a Porsche, can't do much and can easily be destroyed.
