Maybe its just because he seems to be reasonable in most of his views and I haven't yet seen him repeat unfounded claims or supporting people being richards

Funny, every anti-GG tweet I've seen is exactly what you've described.

Actually TotalBiscuit called for people to stop generalizing one another into strict factions and asked them to actually talk it out.

See right now the "goal" of GG and the "societally viewed goal"  do not match, and this is what is leading to the majority of conflicts right now between the gamer community and the outside world.
Yes there is a problem in journalism, and as evident by the past few weeks there still is a problem of discrimination within our community and both of these have to be addressed. The problem as it has been stated repeatedly, is that people are wrongly thinking equality in journalism is against equality in society and vice-versa which is a very silly statement when said aloud.
The problem here is that many people in the Pro-GG community ARE denouncing harassment. People are just ignoring it/ not seeing it

I think a great quote from TB's article is this.
Quote
It's easy to label Tumblr as a bunch of radfem hypocrites. It's easy to label 4chan as a Cathedral of Misogyny. It's also dishonest. Neither of these places are people. People are different, all of them. They're complex, they have differing opinions that are nuanced and all came to those conclusions in different ways, based on a wealth of experience in their lives. It's easy to condemn a person when your limited exposure to them has been negative. Twitter is an ideal medium to expose yourself to such extreme, absolute behavior. Twitter is incapable of nuance or complexity, it's 140 characters and what fits well in 140 characters? A short, strong absolute opinion. And that's all we get isn't it? Extreme soundbites and those who will judge an entire persons character from just a small sample of them.

I've watched Mike Bithells entire character be judged because he voiced support for someone who was being harassed. I've watched Jontrons name get dragged through the mud because he questioned Tim Schafer. (after saying some admittedly stupid things in days prior) I've been called a misogynist thug, an MRA and a national socialist for addressing my audience and calling for cooler heads. I've watched Anita Sarkeesian receive death-threats. “You're with us or against us!” is the cry. No, I am not against any of you, because you're not defined by something you said on Twitter. You're people, you have real lives and each a unique set of experiences. I won't side against you forever because of something you've done online at some point but I won't side with you because you think I'm part of whatever group it is you imagine yourself to belong to either. You don't and neither do I.

i have not seen a single big Pro-GG not denounce harassment. the fact that you haven't seen this shows, to me, that you haven't even tried. also you
you just posted a gamergate supporter doing just that but i'll ignore that
i ask again, why should i take any of you seriously if you're coming in here with assumptions at best?

burden of proof is on you mate, i don't have twitter so i'm just going by ia's videos and what you guys are posting

the face of desperation
burden of proof is on you mate, i don't have twitter so i'm just going by ia's videos and what you guys are posting
just because you dont have a twitter doesnt mean you can't go on the website...?
besides the fact that you literally just posted totalbiscuit denouncing the threats i'll find some more.

Except that post is older than his post about ethics gaming journalism.

My problem with AG is that there is no freedom in their agenda. Why can't we have games about mindless fun and games that are about morales, ethics, social issues, etc. Oh no, but that's not good enough. To them all games have to fit their agendas. Despite the fact that they are nerds and gamers themselves, they decide be their own exclusive group just like hipster forgets and spout stuff like "gamers are worse than CIA! We should bring back bully because gamers/nerds are bad! Death to gamers!". They are basically bullies and thugs hiding behind what could have been a good cause. They are trying to red herring the issue.

At the same time I also believe that stuff such as this

should go. It probably alienates girls unless they like dressing that way I guess. It also does that loveualization thing that people don't like. Instead of wearing something practical, cool, or normal, you have this special interest stuff to boost sales.

I'd say the issue about corruption in the gaming media, but hey we can fight corruption and stuff like loveualization and gender stereotypes at the same time.

Being a massive starfish and using feminism and equality as shield to justify being an starfish is not the right thing to do. "I get to be an starfish and justify bullying because I support feminism/gay marriage/recognition of genocide/equality for all."

Do you, uh, do you know any women? Because I don't know a single girl who is "alienated" by hot ladies in video games. For that matter, I don't know of any men that feel alienated by hot dudes in video games. This probably includes you. I doubt you looked upon Dante and cried for a few minutes because you don't have that unrealistically hot full rack. I doubt anyone has.
The people who are most affected by things like loveualisation and the like are the people who actually have nothing to do with it. This brings to mind something that someone, I think it was Egoraptor but I might be wrong, said a long ass time ago regarding jokes about Self Delete. People get offended, saying "That's not funny! I know someone who tried to commit Self Delete, stop joking about it!" The actual attempted-Self Delete person will often find the joke hilarious, because they're over it and generally speaking humour is the best way to deal with a personal issue anyway. I've found this to be true more often than not, and when it wasn't the Self Delete person has always been a drama queen anyway so she doesn't really matter.

tifa is overrated
I don't like her original design that much, since I think it's just too plain looking, but she looks pretty rad in CrCIA Core. She's got like some sort of goofy cowboy thing going on and it works.
She also did end up being the embodiment of the "motherly big titties fisticuff" trope, so there's that too I guess. Sort of establishing it.
