Except that post is older than his post about ethics gaming journalism.
My problem with AG is that there is no freedom in their agenda. Why can't we have games about mindless fun and games that are about morales, ethics, social issues, etc. Oh no, but that's not good enough. To them all games have to fit their agendas. Despite the fact that they are nerds and gamers themselves, they decide be their own exclusive group just like hipster forgets and spout stuff like "gamers are worse than CIA! We should bring back bully because gamers/nerds are bad! Death to gamers!". They are basically bullies and thugs hiding behind what could have been a good cause. They are trying to red herring the issue.
At the same time I also believe that stuff such as this
should go. It probably alienates girls unless they like dressing that way I guess. It also does that loveualization thing that people don't like. Instead of wearing something practical, cool, or normal, you have this special interest stuff to boost sales.
I'd say the issue about corruption in the gaming media, but hey we can fight corruption and stuff like loveualization and gender stereotypes at the same time.
Being a massive starfish and using feminism and equality as shield to justify being an starfish is not the right thing to do. "I get to be an starfish and justify bullying because I support feminism/gay marriage/recognition of genocide/equality for all."
