@ the image: i agree with the overall tone of the image, but here's the thing.
i think what people like sarkeesian are saying is simply that storylines with women as props or whatever are too saturated - that it would be better for the industry for developers to think out of the box a little. that's not to say that you're not allowed to make weak female characters, because i mean, let's be real, sometimes a story can call for a weak female character (or a male, who gives a stuff). it's basically that there hasn't been much creativity in the role of woman characters... really ever in the game industry. i wouldn't take what she says as a hard rule, but basically a potential guiding hand in the future. of course, that may not be what sarkeesian is actually going for, but that's what i think we should take from what she says.

i mean he's kinda right. if you need a set in stone "goal" then blockland is more like a platform to host games on, and not an actual game itself.
