Fishermen report that catches have been near to none, and that ships have gone and disappeared, and that they don't want to risk having one of these wild beasts roaming on their decks, let alone travel out into the sea at all.  The King, however, orders the capture of one of these beasts.

A line of forests is burned down through the areas between the Daijoua and Titchwak provinces in order to allow for clear line of sight through this area, as it is the only section not yet walled off. The natives are given minor compensation for the loss of traditional hunting land, however the priority of safety by the Rustuffe outweighs any objection held by the natives, and frequent patrols of the border (extending to Teijina, as they are in our military protectorate range) are held to protect Rustuffe citizens.

News of the Bao's prophecy moves through the New Union.  Until now, it was believed that the fight would involve the servants of the three deities against the foul daemons, the concept that men of all lands and faiths might be involved had not crossed anyone's mind.  As a result of this, efforts are made to contact the Holy Nations, informing them of the nature of the oncoming doom, but bad conditions and reports of sea monsters ultimately prevent anyone from traveling much farther than Turtle Island.  The people continue to arm themselves, and in the New Union, every man is made to bear the sword and the bow.

Ezbátu begins to train every able man to weild a spear, sword, and crossbow.  The Ezbatan military shares with all in the oriental region the technology of fire pot grenades, each filled with a mixture of oil and Åkkèlé.  Training excercises with neighboring nations are proposed.

Galaumia asks the rest of the Islamic Empire to raise armies and merge them with the Galaumians, in hopes of making a large enough army to defeat the beasts.

They agree.

The Academy of Kai reopens their international research opportunists and hopes to establish an emergency pact to unite the neighboring schools and promote an accelerated research output for all. Representatives are sent to Valadarsk and whatever schools exist in Galaumia, and other neighboring states.

President Kim wouldn't wan't to see our Ezbautan brethern suffer a fate from lesser equiped techonoliges. While the oil pots are sphoiticated indeed, they are a bit old-hat for the Rustuffes whom introduce their "slow-burn", a mixture of the firework propellant, honey, and other chemicals that can be used for delayed and more safely controlled detonations. In the spirit of comradery they freely offer the secret concoctions to this formula (however many of the more accurate firework propellant mixtures are still undisclosed and held in very tight-knight circles of Kai whom may not be entirely loyal to the state,  after it's recent reforms,to disclose the information just yet, but given the upcoming threat we can hope they would soon change heart)

A system of utilizing oil filled in a satchle with a nozzle and a match with the slow burn material on it would allow a well trained soldier to momentarily spray a controlled batch of flames as well for a more close range tactic (this being used as an intimidation tactic by the arm of bao against riotous civillians during the reformation) Is also shared with the advanced soldiers of allied nations(this sounds silly but I was hoping to actually have this in a few years in game to align with cool chinese stuff going around this era, but as tech is accellerated and i am busy most of the rest of today I am just posting this now incase stuff hits the fan while im gone)

Atenisian missionaries in Espovon claim to have seen the evil and twisted Serpent that introduced sin into the land God has created for his creatures. Their numbers have been seemingly cut in half; they claim the daemons swallowed them whole. They spread this to the folk of Atenisia and panic arises.

Atenisia's king, upon hearing the news, urgently calls upon all HN members to a meeting in Athens.

They agree.
Could I get a rough estimate of how many soldiers the rest of the Islamic Empire is sending?

Also, thanks for reminding me Ladios I meant to start this a while ago;
A university begins construction in Chijidan, meant to educate the Galaumian population. It is named Jam'eh Aletrebyh Walet'eleym, although the majority of the population call it Aletrebyh Medresh. The courses are Mathematics, Islam, Ancient Studies, Natural Studies, and Warfare Studies.

(Btw Ladios the 9th century is just starting and you're telling me that you already have knowledge of basic gunpowder, and implying rocketry?)

(Yes the first gunpowder formulas were invented by this time, however the earliest printed record we have is dated approx 920AD, guilds would hold these formulas secret for a long period beforhand and there is alot of documented evidence that hasnt yet been dated regaurding the early formation of this substance, mind you the trick is in rifiling, and as such most rockets at this age would be extremely inaccurate up until approximately 1100ad when they learned spinny things miss less,

(But to more specifically address your point, sorry no, not rocketry, fireworks and basic controlled flame projectiles, its basically an explosion at one end you try to orient in the right direction for as long as possible)

as far as the flamethrowers go, they had that earlier than they had even aimable rockets, around 800ad, so I am actually a tad late on announcing this one)

(mind you i plan on being far more rambunctious concerning the combination and exectution of thus existant technologies but for the sake of fun I would like to not reveal my main plan of shenanigans until the first major battle whenever that shall be)

(Alright, just don't be going completely off the wall like what I did with Gravitanium)

Large serpents begin to travel out from the eyes of the storms in breaks in the storms.  They range in length from 1-3 longboats.

The Ezbatan military quickly finds out that the larger ones have wings and can fly, and has serious trouble trying to shoot them down before they cause huge damage.  Ezbatan engineers consolt the School of Kai for options.  They propose a bladed net launcher so that the nets will ensnare and latch onto the serpents, disabling movement completely, but the design and construction of such an apparatus is proving difficult.

The serpents of Espovon swim in the water and can travel on land, though not for too long.  They drag any prey they can find into the sea and drown them before eating them.  (Also echolocation, but we don't know that science yet.) The few lucky survivors that say they've fallen into the ocean have heard strange noises, generally louder and more frenzied when the snakes draw close.  (Anyone remember the shreiking eels from Princess Bride?  Kinda like that.)

The serpents of Hlaohamarr come with hard skin and eyes that both glow in the dark and can see in perfect darkness and burrow underground, to drag their enemies into the tunnels they make, and eat them in complete darkness.
