get ripped

Guys, it has begun.

The modders have broken the limits and have started adding their own stuff.

I need to overhaul my settlements. My supply lines are a mess, some unneeded, and suggest no sort of hierarchy among my settlements. I'm going to go out and kill a lot of my provisioners, but first i need a plan on what to prioritize. this is what I have rn

yellow diamond: very large settlement
pink diamond: moderately-sized
circle: they've got supply line(s) but i didn't do much else for them

1. great place, keeping it
2. cramped overall but i had fun with it. might keep
3. not a very good defensive position but it has a lot of space and food
4. aesthetically my favorite. great for purified water production
5. cool place, plan on keeping it
6. best defense, highest population, everyone is heavily armored/armed
7. i want to turn this into some utopia but i haven't scouted it out much
8. yet again cramped but it's a great place for artillery. probably going to downsize
9. stuff hole why does it exist
10. game crashes here often for some reason but it's a fun place to set up
11. my turrets spray the gunners on the overpass every time i fast travel here. good armor/weapon farming but overall not that great. put too much into it early on

any suggestions on what to prioritize? I heard taffington is a great place

i saw the rifle yesterday, but that armor is new to me and hot damn thank you for sharing

Any mods to reduce the chance of finding power armor sets?

I have like 8 sets already.

Is there anything preventing med-x from just being an inferior version of psycho?
Med-x gives 25 damage resistance and can't be combined with other drugs.
Pyscho gives 25 damage resistance as well as 25% damage, and can be combined with other drugs.

I don't think so.
Power armor doesnt have a 'chance' of appearing.
Certain locations will always have a power armor frame (with randomized parts depending on level, in most cases).

Man, T60 wasnt even that great to begin with so I don't even think replacing it could be considered a loss.
Not to sound like a sperglord but the way it was introduced didn't sit right with me. Established lore always seemed to say that the T51 was the pinnacle of pre-war personal protection, being the standard issue for the army and stuff, and then in clunks a new suit of "totally not T45 you guys". Boasting a radical departure from the preceding suit's design, with totally new features such as... rearranged chest handles. And taller pauldrons, I guess? And stompier feeties. Couldn't it have just been a post-war brotherhood modification to the T45 or something? I know they're all admech-tier power-greaves-on-head-rebooted when it comes to technology, but it doesn't seem like too much of a stretch for them to have made some minor adjustments to the T45 over the years, eventually resulting in what's functionally a "new" suit.

don't take this as a harsh criticism of the game i'm probably just salty because i like how t51 looks more and wish the gate guards at the beginning of the game were wearing it instead

There is too many power armor locations. I don't even bother to collect them anymore, I just rip their fusion cores out.

I prefer the T45/60 design to the T-51 (mainly it's their eye-holes versus eye-slit that I like), but I think I have to agree with you on how they should have introduced T-60.

If it was a post-war Brotherhood upgrade to T-45, that would have been better.
As it stands it seems a bit backwards that the pre-war military would design the T-45, then design the T-51 with quite a radical design change, and then design the T-60 with T-45 looks.

It makes sense too, given that T-60s in the Commonwealth are almost exclusively worn by the BoS, suggesting they brought them with them from the Capital Wasteland.
Obviously T-60 wasn't in Fallout 3, but instead the T-45 was, and the BoS almost exclusively wore those.
So it would make sense that they were an east-coast BoS invention.

It bugs me that you can't get dead people out of their power armor

It bugs me that you can't get dead people out of their power armor

Being able to loot power armor frames from dead bodies will just kill the balance for power armor even more. It's bad enough I have like 8 sets now I'll have like 30 sets.

This is actually the biggest crime.

And the fact that even if I can't get them out of the power armour, I then can't drag their body away, even if I am wearing power armour.

That dead Raider in Power Armour at Outpost Zimonja has been stinking up the place for ages!

Also, you can't deconstruct power armour pieces, which is a shame. It'd be nice to get some aluminium, circuitry and ceramic back from those power armours.

on the bright side any armor pieces you destroyed on them will have a weight of 0 and still sell for the same amount

broken power armor is my third largest source of income right behind useless legendaries and drugs

Blame Bethesda, the design difference is all Bethesda.

T-45 is made by Bethesda.

T-51 was made by Black Isle.

T-60 was made by Bethesda.

Both the T-45 and T-60 look almost very comparable in design and it doesn't make sense with how they sandwiched the T-51 in between. If anything the T-60 should look more similar to the T-51.

This is actually the biggest crime.
nah, the biggest crime is when settlements come under attack by enemies exclusively wielding missile launchers

I don't mind the design difference. I actually like their designs.

It's the chronology of the designs that is jarring.
The fact that T45/60 look similar, yet T51 is in between and looks different.
And the fact that there was no mention of T60 being used in combat, except that it happened at some point after Anchorage.

I do make good use of broken armour pieces. I always pick them up.

What's nice is that if an enemy in power armour dies, you can shoot the pieces until they break, at which point they weigh 0.
Unfortunately this can take a long time, or a lot of ammo, if the piece is still at high health. And the collision can get a little funny on corpses, so it seems shooting at one part of the body may not actually be doing damage to that part.

That too.
I had that happen at Warwick Homestead, when the only defenses I had were 2 heavy turrets.
Plus the raiders spawned within the fences, somewhat behind my turrets. :z
