wait what's going on with Reddit? I didn't notice anything on mobile
A couple hours ago a change made to the reddit /r/all algorithm (The algorithm that determines how high a post is on /r/all).
The change that was made was, one of the variables in a database that was critical to the function of the algorithm was deleted. The result was the top NINE HUNDRED posts were all from /r/The_Donald. I checked.

This was causing the algorithm to take an extremely long time to execute simple tasks, and return extremely weird results that shouldn't happen in the first place.
This meant that posts with 0 votes on it got to #1 on /r/all, and because the variable had *something* to do with how active a subreddit is (The_Donald is the most active sub on reddit in terms of users & upvotes per post per hour, followed by subs like /r/funny and /r/politics), this somehow made all of the The_Donald posts jump up and take the top 900 or so spots.
The algorithm isn't designed to work without that variable, so it caused extreme, unexpected behaviour.
