in the working, pen-and-paper form of communism, government officials are more like staff managers than a governing power. they control the money flow and when things to awry they jump in to maintain things as they please

Even then, that's not exactly true. It's more like a direct democracy is in control of the flow of money, if they haven't abandoned money yet, rather than any individuals.

Though I guess we're talking about different branches of Communist ideology at this point. The point stands that all forms of Communism are intended to abandon the concept of a state. If society as a whole reaches that point, they've probably reached an understanding that bypasses the sloth and greed we have come to expect.

You can criticize the execution of Communism (veering off of the intended path into dictatorship), but if you're gonna say that I support a large government, and you came to that conclusion based off of the textbook definition of Communism, you're objectively wrong. This isn't a debate.

It doesn't matter how communism works ON PAPER when you need humans and a working government body to implement communist policies anyway. I don't care how your textbook definition of Communism works because it will never, ever be implemented in any real working capacity. So you saying "that's not the textbook definition" means absolutely jack stuff when we take a look at real life examples.

I didn't say anything about you supporting a large government, but if you support Communism you're supporting a system that, when implemented, steps on the necks of everyone who isn't in power, which is why I find your use of "If the boot fits, I'll lick it" rather hypocritical. But hey, textbook definitions, amirite

There's a difference between mindless obedience to authorities and actively resisting authorities, even if what I support could lead to an authoritarian state. I would still resist it. Therefore, it's not "ironic."

Kimon would literally rather slide into a gulag than get a job

I have 2.

kimon runs the gulags

I have 2.

I'm not talking about the burger flipping/shelf packing job you want $15 an hour for, I'm talking about a real job that benefits society.

Gee kimon, how come your mom lets you have 2 gulags?

I'm not talking about the burger flipping/shelf packing job you want $15 an hour for, I'm talking about a real job that benefits society.
What makes you think burger flipping isn't a benefit to society? I mean come on who else would be serving you at fast food restaurants if they weren't there?

You realize that there are chemicals in McDonalds burgers that are used to control your brain right? You can't actually be this ignorant. Kimon's job is so simple that fast food chains are slowly replacing him with machines.

I think we should have robots do all unskilled labor jobs under Communism. Everybody can relax in their luxurious space homes. Fully Automated Luxury Gay Space Communism.
