You don't assume that they're lying, but you don't assume immediately that what they say is truth either. The entire purpose of a trial is to determine the truth of the matter and the culpability of individuals or entities involved.
That's fair.

More important, though, is that other Alabama Republicans aren't even arguing that it didn't happen, they're arguing that it's fine that it happened. One of them said it was like Joseph and Mary, an adult carpenter and a teenager. Or "I don't care if it happened, but I'm not voting democrat." Or "Only one of the allegations was someone under the age of 16 so it's fine."

I agree and disagree with you nonnel purely because this is a situational thing.

If someone tells me in person that they were raped and is seemingly genuine about it then im automatically going to believe them because 1: rape is a pretty touchy subject and 2: because of that, its not the best idea to outright say, “i dont believe you” or “youre a liar” unless you were like actually there or something.

With that being said its a little trickier to believe random people that come out of the woodwork online and such because there’s never really hard evidence presented (which unfortunately happens a lot of the time and actual victims dont see justice).

I will say that us liberals do like to side with victims/accusers because some of us act and think too loving much based on emotion instead of laws and the constitution. But i will admit that Moore already having child enthusiast/pervert associated with his name leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Out of all the bad republicans or democratic politicians someone could have accused of rape, why Moore?

Of course. That doesn't mean you assume they're lying.
The problem isn't who you assumed is right or wrong, but that you assumed at all.

Why is it in almost every case of powerful people accused of loveual assault, the first thing to do for many is to side with the accused and repeat the mantra "innocent until proven guilty"?

The assumption is that people are just trying to get their celebrity money
I'll admit I was wrong to take a side at all. Don't assume for either side. It is "innocent until proven guilty," but that doesn't mean "liar until proven truth-teller"

This would be a pretty nifty "gotcha" statement if it wasn't literally how our justice system works

why is it in almost every case of serial murder the killer is tried in court by a jury of his peers 🤔🤔🤔

Why is it that everyone's suddenly started this stuffty meme where you have to pick sides of loveual abuse allegations?

NOT ONLY IS Annoying Orange A CHUMP
PRESIDENT Annoying Orange IS A loving RAPIST
OUR PRESIDENT IS THE GAYEST
loving ORANGE tribal
I REALLY HATE THIS

There's a difference between imprisoning someone when there's a shadow of doubt, and not voting for someone when multiple, concordant lines of evidence suggest the dude might be a rapist. And that on top of easily a dozen other, fantastic reasons why this person is ill-equipped to hold any office whatsoever.

Blackstone's Formulation applies to governments and legal systems and jails. It's not something that should always govern what you think or support. For instance, Bill Cosby shouldn't go to jail because there's no hard evidence he's a rapist, but to anyone with even a modicum of common sense it's pretty obvious.

because common sense dictates "hey, a bunch of women who piggybacked off of other loveual assault scandals and keep changing their stories to sound more dramatic definitely must be telling the truth"

AKA common sense dictates a full-out witch hunt
