You are exploring planets for the human race, buddy.

Cyborgs, orcs, tiny lizard people and robots already beat you to the loving punch anyways but the human race knows nothing about the 18 forgettillion planets.

So does that make sense now? A highly evolved race of aliens that had like 3,000 more years of evolution over humans were able to explore all these planets and now humans are slowly catching up?

I think it's loving plausible.

So it's plausible that every single one of these 18 nigrillian planets are monitored and conquered by these drones that are all identical and all somehow owned by the same species even though most planets have entirely different aliens in their outposts?

Don't make excuses for this type of bullstuff. It's lazy and you know it.

You can't exactly claim control of a planet unless you own more than 90% of it.

No one controls the entire planet of earth.

Either way, a well defended starbase will repel any sort of bandit/npcs that try to get near the area. And with these starbase factions and whatnot, you'll eventually control a good part of the planet. Heck if they get enough people, you might even be able to colonize for the faction. Sounds really cool imho.

guaranteed it's some precursor bs, no doubt about it

the sentinels are (apparently) the atlas's minions
whats the atlas?
a sentient computer.
how original.

how did this sentient computer come into existence?
probably precursor handwave.

So it's plausible that every single one of these 18 nigrillian planets are monitored and conquered by these drones

How would you know? Have you been to every single planet?

Of course they are on every single planet but your character in the game doesn't know that.

Stop meta gaming unless you want to have a bad time with every loving game out there, bro.

Don't make excuses for this type of bullstuff. It's lazy and you know it.

It's not lazy it's limitations.

Write me up some code on how to design complex generation of planets to meet specifically ALL YOUR DEMANDS so you can stop bitching.

Write me that code. Then you can complain, you don't know anything about limitations of games, do you?

I could meta game in DnD and then there goes the role play element.

What?

It's not lazy it's limitations.
breaking news: hardware limitations mean you can't actually put any thought into your game's plot

except dnd is a roleplaying game and you're intentionally throwing the whole point of it out the window so you can prove a point

if every planet has the sameish dumb looking radnomly generated same performing ai then what's the point for the player to explore? the game is about exploring, not loving roleplaying and pretending the game is good

What?

You don't know what meta gaming is?

Do you like have no imagination?

Didn't realize videogames need plot.

Do explain for me why videogames are required to have a complex plot.

Some people prefer gameplay over interactive movies and cutscenes.

I'm aware of what metagaming is.

I have too much of an imagination.

So far every planet I've encountered has been unique, almost no similarities.

I don't know where the complaining is coming from and what do you expect from a generator? This game has the most complex generator available, more than any game.

"Oh it's not good enough" bitch it ain't gonna get better. It's a loving limitation in gaming, go code up some stuff if you want to talk stuff about it.

They don't need plot, but if they put plot in, people have the right to brown townyse it.

Are you sure YOU know what meta gaming is?
