the entire point of the 2 hour playtime was if the game simply couldnt run on your computer, you would know in 2 hours.
this game is being refunded because its a fraud. playtime is irrelevant.

In what universe would it take someone 71 hours of playtime to suddenly realize the game is a fraud? I made an entire 33 episode youtube series on The Forest with my friend in 65 hours. If you played the game for more than two hours you do not deserve a refund. If you didn't like the ending or if the game failed to keep you entertained for your whatever arbitrary amount of time you have in your head you still don't deserve a refund.

I've given the game a shot at a friend's house and the best I can describe the game is that it comes and goes and there's no lasting impact from the game. No outrage, no betrayal, just cold indifference that won't be remembered in the years to come

Deserve? Nobody deserves stuff. They're entitled to a refund, that's for damn sure. People who are into exploration and space games understand that hobbyists sink loving hours into games like NMS.

Problem is that those 72 hours for said folks are the grace period, and then after having the damn game and breaking it in after a week, you realize how shallow the game actually is when it comes to depth. At best you get a solid 72 hours, but then you hit the realization that you paid $60 for 72 hours and that's loving it. No 380 hours exploring tech trees or conversion tables or complex gameplay mechanics on fan forums dedicated to breaking apart and exploring every aspect of the game, just 72 hours of ~exploration~.

I've gotten more depth from free mods for minecraft. I am not going to lower my expectations for this spectacular mundane disaster

Harr-de-harr, I was alluding more to the fact that the game boasts major replayability through many iterations of planets to explore, yet fails to deliver on any sort of draw beyond that. I like exploration, but usually as means of quantifiable accomplishment rather than doing for the sake of it being done. After three planets without any sort of content to really sink my teeth in, I olly-outied

I can load up space engine for free and look at planets that are more interesting than the planets in this game. I'm shelling out $60 to play the game and after 72 there's nothing new to play with.
