Honestly the difference between NMS, WarZ and Year 2066 is that NMS isn't complete loving garbage with incredibly scummy and extremely anti-consumer developers

Is No man's sky so bad that steam had to put a refund policy warning in the store?

"sean lied about multiplayer!!!!"

I literally don't get it

Is No man's sky so bad that steam had to put a refund policy warning in the store?

No there was just a bunch of misinformation posted on reddit that led a bunch of r-tards to believe that you could get automatic refunds on NMS regardless of play-time, so steam got flooded with thousands of support tickets asking to get a refund on a game they'd been playing without issue for multiple days because it didn't keep their abnormally low attention span occupied for 500 hours

"sean lied about multiplayer!!!!"
He did allude to it in an interview though didn't he?

If you're talking about the interview where he says "you can play with friends", then yeah he did. In 2014. When he was being asked weird rapid-fire questions about the future plans for the game.

Nah I'm talking about the multiple times he said that meeting players would be 'rare', which to me says it's still possible

Edit: here's a better one where he directly says yes

He literally says in this video that multiplayer is not a big focus. Nowhere does he say that you can actually interact with you and shoot at each other or whatever people were expecting. He just says you can name stuff and there's a "sense" that there's other people in the universe with you, which there is in the release.

This is still literally an entire year ago when the game was still in development and they we're telling us about things that were planned and what they were working on, lol

He certainly didn't preface it with saying it was a "planned feature" or anything. He was talking about it as if it was already in the game but just 'rare'

And that's probably what was planned at the time? There's a lot of things in this video that were changed at release. Do you see how it's sorta loving ridiculous to say Sean "lied" about something because of the way he phrased something during an interview in 2015? A year after this when the game was actually developed and ready for release he said, verbatim, "No Man's Sky is not a multiplayer game" and it's not listed on Steam as a multiplayer game either.

I don't get it.

What do you mean 'the way he phrased something'?

"Can you run into other people, other players on the game?"
"Yes"

That is not an issue of phrasing lol. This whole issue of the game being hyped up is entirely their fault for running with falsified features for so long.

What do you mean 'the way he phrased something'?

What do you mean by "He didn't preface it by saying" and "He was talking about it as if"? That's your interpretation of his words, not everybody else's.

Yeah it's their fault because they didn't manage to deliver on features they planned on back in 2015, the loss of the multiplayer feature was an infinitesimally small and petty change anyway, but it's a loving stretch to say the guy lied about it and released a single-player game after saying it was multiplayer lmfao

Yeah it's their fault because they didn't manage to deliver on features they planned on back in 2015
No, it's their fault for marketing the game using features that didn't make the final cut. By definition that's false advertising lol.

and I get you're a fanboy, but jesus pull it together. You can enjoy the game without defending blatant poor practices on behalf of the devs.

It was an interview with Steven Colbert lol. Multiplayer might have been functioning at that point. There's a million reasons why it might not of made the final cut. There's clear evidence of them having worked on it in the game files, like the existence of a world player model.

Bit early to be trying to dismiss me with the "fanboy" bullstuff, isn't it? Go forget yourself.

It was an interview with Steven Colbert lol.
Does that not constitute marketing?

There's clear evidence of them having worked on it in the game files, like the existence of a world player model.
Any other 'clear evidence'?
