If we define Christianity as any group who teaches belief in Jesus, then not just Catholicism, Jehovah's Witnesses and Mormonism would be Christian, but Islam as well. Jesus is regarded as one of the holiest prophets in Islam.

What I'm defining Christianity as in my message here is belief/adherence to the original teachings of the Bible, as taught by Jesus and his biblical followers. Which does cast sharp criticism on the crusades. Jesus taught that all who live by the sword shall die by the sword. He led his example by submitting to the authorities of the land, without lifting so much as a finger against them. He also prophesied that Jerusalem would soon fall, and that the temple would be destroyed, and in 70 AD, it sure enough did as a result of the failed Jewish rebellion against Rome. The Holy Roman Empire in a similar way suffered a crushing defeat as a result of the Crusades and fell into ruins.

It's a fallacy to say Islam is not a religion of peace yet Christianity is, or really to old one over the other in that respect. I'm not saying this from an anti-Christianity standpoint, I practically grew up inside a church. A series of terrorists acting on behalf of Islam is no more damaging to their religion than the countless murders on behalf of Christianity is. People doing things in the name of religion does not correlate to the religion instructing them to do such.

Except that the actions of groups such as CIA, Iran, and Saudi Arabia are consistent with the teachings of Islam. The kool kids klub, Crusades, and the LRA are not consistent with the teachings of Christianity.

I never said it was dissolved as a result of the crusades. I simply meant it was significantly weakened by them. Jerusalem was brought to ruins as a result of the 70 AD rebellion but it still stood as a city long after that.

No, but I know for a fact that the Bible is violent too and instructs genocide in a couple of places. Those passages typically aren't read in your average church session, and I can't imagine Muslims (which are otherwise unaffiliated with terror organizations) read many of their outdated and barbaric passages either.
