it's supposed to be serious
i'm never going to be able to get over this.  you're playing a loving videogame, people will goof off.  if you're going to punish people for not keeping in a single file line, i don't know what to tell you, george orwell

sure but i'm not going to waste my time enforcing a petty rule
Of course you wouldn't, Stikfas hosts casual servers at night, his aren't even actual gamemodes, it's just a really rad build with a mini-game, it's not anywhere close to serious. Like Nobot said if one person is let go from doing it, then multiple people will do it until a bunch of people are doing it. It's a good side reason for why there are any laws, most of it's common sense but without restrictions it could get out of control. Being an admin for stikfas isn't the best experience for staff lol. Jacks admins seem pretty decent, they're enforcing the rules set in place. Seems good to me.

it's pretty handicapped considering you're punishing people who won't act like your videogame isn't a videogame.  if you don't want people like you pushing your players around, don't let him do it in the first place.  no amount of hiding behind "but he didn't listen" changes the fact that your rule makes absolutely no sense and shouldn't even need to be enforced.
sure but i'm not going to waste my time enforcing a petty rule
In no way is it petty.  Pushing someone who is trying to focus on completing the objective is a stupid thing to do.  Pushing people while there is nothing to do is also stupid because it pretty much kills seriousness and only acts as an annoyance.

why does this excuse you from breaking rules in this context again

also you're really inching to this with that post

it's supposed to be serious
i thought averagedude said it wasn't?
drydess don't overlook the last part. Clicking people is literally self explanatory, the issue is you should only do it if people are actually blocking your way.
that makes sense i guess. it honestly feels like it would be a lot less effort and more efficient to ban people that are blocking and completely disrupting the gamemode from any point of view, as opposed to banning folks who are just goofing off

what im getting at with this is that you was being dumb but there's a really poor process going on in the background that could be easily much better

i thought averagedude said it wasn't?

he says clickpushing people off just to disturb and annoy people isn't serious.

noedit i completely misread what averagedude said so disregard the first part

Of course you wouldn't, Stikfas hosts casual servers at night, his aren't even actual gamemodes, it's just a really rad build with a mini-game, it's not anywhere close to serious.
okay one, ow on the gamemodes part
two we're not serious because we know it's a waste of time to try to force players to obey our every whim

Like Nobot said if one person is let go from doing it, then multiple people will do it until a bunch of people are doing it.
a whole lot of people doing an inconsequential action that literally does nothing but nudge a player slightly.  okay, remind me again why i should be worried about any amount of people clickpushing?

It's a good side reason for why there are any laws, most of it's common sense but without restrictions it could get out of control.
florida's laws would like a word with you

Jacks admins seem pretty decent, they're enforcing the rules set in place. Seems good to me.
i won't question their integrity in any other situation, just this one is literally a non-issue made into an issue

Pushing people while there is nothing to do is also stupid because it pretty much kills seriousness and only acts as an annoyance.

it doesn't, it's just the context shouldn't exist in the first place

also you're really inching to this with that post
that's more applicable to responses to the topic i'm pretty sure, a la "who cares"

a whole lot of people doing an inconsequential action that literally does nothing but nudge a player slightly.  okay, remind me again why i should be worried about any amount of people clickpushing?
because it's annoying? some people like to play games and not be annoyed, surprisingly

it doesn't, it's just the context shouldn't exist in the first place

...dude, it's a lot less effort to just ban the people for an amount of time in this situtaion than letting someone keep up their starfish attitude to irritate someone just for their enjoyment. what's your actual problem with this? if you have suggestions or complaints talk to the owner.

that's more applicable to responses to the topic i'm pretty sure, a la "who cares"

...it's not applicable to certain things, you are making a dismissive argument that it's only a game along with the statement that people will goof around, which both are completely debatable as people prefer to have fun in the game by being serious more than having fun ruining other people's enjoyment. should i really just go a competitive round and not do anything at all and rather have fun with knifing people constantly than actually gain kills and compete objectives in a cs:go match, because what, i don't like the fact that people don't like being knifed is wrong and it's a flawed way of thinking?

find a word to use correctly, it was consequential. it was a rule, if you don't listen you will face a ban or some form of punishment.

anyone actually defending breaking the rules is stupid there's really no reason to even have an argument here in my honest opinion

imo its only okay to break a rule when that rule hurts the game itself, like when survival games have those dumb "no killing on sight" rules, when PVP is essential to how the game works

to add:

OP was clearly using the click pushing to be a nuisance and was appropriately removed from the server for it. click pushing to remove people out the way? OK. accidentally click pushing because your finger slipped or something? OK. click pushing to click push and be annoying? Against the rules. it really isn't that hard.

the fact that he made this drama in response to being punished isnt even annoying. whats more annoying is the lengths that people are going to try and justify what happened lol.

because it's annoying? some people like to play games and not be annoyed, surprisingly
me too but why does x mildly annoying thing require specific scrutiny?  "don't be an starfish" is a lot more effective than micromanagement.  excuse me i have to ban this person for standing really really close to people even though neither party is in any danger at any point that it happens.

"don't be an starfish"

dismissing op's complaints =/= challenging questionable server rule
i'm not sure where you get the idea that everyone who isn't hardass mcdetective is an starfish only there to piss other people off, nor the idea that someone's fun is that fragile.  someone is clickpushing me!  hmm.  if only i could do something to get them to stop.  perhaps something involving using my legs to move away from the offending object.  by god, i think i'm onto something!

should i really just go a competitive round and not do anything at all and rather have fun with knifing people constantly than actually gain kills and compete objectives in a cs:go match, because what, i don't like the fact that people don't like being knifed is wrong and it's a flawed way of thinking?
no and this is a terrible comparison
this doesn't work because in the case of despair syndrome you're still playing the game when you clickpush somebody for funsies, it's a small and harmless action in the lull of actual other things happening.  you don't exist in some binary state between "playing the game" and "nudging some dudes."
clickpush is more like tauntspam.  annoying?  sure.  harmful?  not unless you've got your volume peaked.  doing nothing, absolutely not; you're still playing the game, you're just also doing this annoying thing on top of it.  also you're still gaining kills if you're knifing everyone but i digress

find a word to use correctly, it was consequential. it was a rule, if you don't listen you will face a ban or some form of punishment.
okay, how about unintrustive?  unimportant?  miniscule?  any of these ringing for you?  i guess i'll get punished for x silly action because x silly action is allowed.

imo its only okay to break a rule when that rule hurts the game itself, like when survival games have those dumb "no killing on sight" rules, when PVP is essential to how the game works
i'd like to take the time to clarify that it's not okay to break a rule you've been clearly told to obey.  it's also not okay to have ridiculous rules for pointless, utterly harmless shenanigans, which people don't seem too keen on addressing for the sake of telling you off for doing thing he was told not to do, like this guy here

also i'm pretty sure you basically straight-up said he was trying to entertain himself because he was bored of the lull at that particular time.  everyone keeps saying "oh he's just doing it to be an starfish" but i guess Everyone I Don't Like is an starfish
