Well, yeah, of course. So i won't lol. It was just a test anyway.

So now i have a question. When you subdivide an area after you've changed it's shape it doesn't do the same thing it would if you were to just subdivide. Is there a way to just subdivide anything just normally?
I have no idea what you mean but there a couple of ways to subdivide: Subdivision surface modifier, W > Subdivide, or W > Subdivide Smooth. Those are the ones I know of.

Since my first ever proper sculpt was a steroid addict balrog-minotaur bastard it only makes sense to up the ante by sculpting an alien hulk thing that has been bastardized by technology. It has both organic and hard surface modeling neither of which I'm good at.

Genious.

It's more a sketch than a WIP. I feel like I'm going to separate the techy parts from the fleshy parts and retopo them separately to be base meshes for the next part. Oh yeah and original design wtf. Upon further examination there are some similarities to XCOM: EU enemies but it wasn't intentional.

Unless you have your own Weapon_snake in your add-ons and the server you were on used Tonkka's Weapon_snake in which case Tonkka's weapon was used but you saw your kill icon because client side files take priority over server side files. Only you saw your kill icon and everyone else who did not have your Weapon_snake saw Tonkka's kill icon.
I think you're right. Sorry for jumping on you Tonkka².

can anybody think of any puns to name a blockland tv after?

The Cube Tube

Also, Blender is free and usable on Macs, right? I kinda wanna model. Any free, mac-usable  (and hopefuly user-firendly) modeling tools you folks can recommend?

Blender is free, Mac compatible, but it isn't very user-friendly. The default interface is cluttered so you need to change that right away. To really get in the flow you need to learn about a dozen or so keyboard shortcuts. Watch a lot of tutorial videos and replicate them. Replicate tutorials a lot and eventually you'll learn the basics and can start making things on your own.

Trying not to forget this one up as much. I'm having a great time.
The head is a bit wonky, but i'll fix it.

Double post of victory.

It's getting close to what i would like it to look like. Right now i'm really just doing finishing touches before i rig it.

why are the legs so huge?

Good observation. I'll fix that.

Better?

It was a dim and slightly windy evening.

My first attempt at fancy-schmancy particle stuff. Any tips?

I want to model some modern assault rifle or SMG, but idk which one. I don't want to do any AK or M4/M16 variants because many have been made before. Any ideas?

The render is way too dark to make out any fine details. Use anti-aliasing.
