Does anyone know how to make something run on something like the movement keys you use for an in-game vehicle like the buggy (once you sit in the player-made vehicle chair, that is)? Using numpad keys to drive crap over is kinda awkward.

Wire: Pod Controller

Its the only way to go.

My steam username is tehubercharge.
My old account, shadow7483147, got hacked, and now I have to rebuy Garry's Mod and CS:S.
At least you don't have random numbers anymore.

I'm sure some or most of you will be able to comprehend how to use these maps :D

Also, how do I go about installing add-ons? I want to know how before I start trying to do it myself, like I did when I first found the Blockland forums. :/

Usually yo just extract them into C:\Program Files\Steam\Steamapps\USERNAME\garrysmod\garrysmod\addons

Place in Add-Ons folder.

I place them in the second Garrysmod folder and let them over right folders to let the files go into the right folders

Am i doing it wrong? D:

This used to be one of my favorite maps on gmod 9. In my opinion, it's still one of the best boat building maps ever made.

Place in Add-Ons folder.
OOOR get an SVN client and use that to download. If you do end up downloading an add-on but it has no mian folder (just a few folders called materials etc. with an info.txt) then create a folder and name it after the mod. It does not have to be specific due to the info.txt handling when the items are called in the game by saying which folder contains which mod.

How to use SVN after installation and restarting:

1) find URL for download and copy it (Ctrl+c or if dealing with more then one  place in a temp txt file)

2) create folder and name it so you can remember what mod it is.

3) right click the folder and choose SVN checkout.

4) paste the url you found in step one in the top box and make sure there is no duplicate folder ( add-ons/phx/phx [name may vary, just make sure only 1 folder after addons\ ])

5) press OK and wait for mod to be done downloading ( may take from 30 sec. to 10 min )

6) Press OK when it is finished.

7) start garry's mod and hope you did not forget anything up.

If did correctly then the folder containing the mod should have a green circle inscribed with a check mark. (other mods that you have DL'd from a .Zip will have a purple ? and bad mods to have a red X)

I'll be getting Gmod soon. Is CS:S anygood for it? Cause im getting orangebox and that leaves that.

CSS has some nice models. You'll also see lots of errors on various servers if you don't have it.

But it's up to you whether paying the money for it is worth it.

Thanks for all the help! And finally, can someone give me the link to the REAL wire mod? I can't seem to tell which one I should download.
