I really wish Strongholds generated near the surface, exposing parts of them

The original concept looks better than what we have now if you ask me

So I haven't played this in a long time, and I was just thinking of this. Minecraft focuses on survival, which is pretty cool. What would be awesome if it was a Zombie Survival - like DayZ. Anyone know of a mod that replaces every mob with zombies, and allows them to spawn in the daylight? Maybe even make villages more frequent, or a city map? I just want to turn Minecraft's survival into a zombie survival.

I don't know but Daedalus is supposed to be working on a server just like that.

I haven't heard of any progress lately though, nor have I even seen the thread.
