i used MC edit, used the forester filter, made trees out of sand, went ingame, chopped a block of sand so the rest will fall. it made pointy like structures, i rotated it and flipped it upside down. tah dah. floating islands! changed the textures and stuff then said woohoo.

total time: 2 hours.
