You dont even need that to duplicate money.

Get a stack of 100 silver coins and shift click it into the trash slot. Then you can craft a gold coin out of it and the 100 silver coins will stay in the trash. Simply remove the 100 coins back into your inventory and repeat.

does this also work with gold and platinum?

I believe so. Your best bet is to defeat the eater of worlds, and make a nightmare pickaxe, then collect enough obsidian (20) to make a skull. That way you don't get hurt by any fire-natured blocks.

You can get to dark orbs easily with any tier of pickaxes, just buy some "purification powder" from the dryad. This turns the ebonstone into normal stone, allowing you access to the orbs.

this is what I plan on doing anyways.I'll stop asking questions now.
